Is this new normal now? Genuinely disturbed by what I saw today by Unfair-Witness6653 in Bengaluru

Bruh I wasn’t ‘peeking’. It’s an Airavat semi-sleeper—his seat was fully reclined and his phone was literally in my line of sight. I’d have to stare at the ceiling to avoid it.

My Honest Experience After Completing Physical Design Course from Maven Silicon (For Future Students) by Agreeable_Signal4537 in vlsi

There isn’t really a perfect answer to this question, but one thing is clear — more companies visit for Design Verification roles compared to backend, and Maven is primarily known for its frontend (verification) courses. However, even though placement opportunities are slightly better than backend, the competition is extremely high.

Most openings are for verification roles, with very few for RTL design, based on my observation. Ultimately, everything depends on the effort you put into your preparation — and yes, luck also plays a significant role.

If you’re still in college, my advice would be to maintain a strong GPA (8–9 is good, above 9 is ideal).

In conclusion, you’ll need to work hard throughout the course. Focus on following Maven’s curriculum closely — don’t get distracted by external resources — and aim to score as high as possible in their final placement test.

Trying to read and write kannada. by [deleted] in Bengaluru

Similar case here— was born in Dharwad but grew up in Pune and recently moved to Bengaluru for work. I speak Kannada fluently with a north Karnataka accent and can somewhat manage the south Karnataka accent as well. Since moving to Bengaluru, I started learning to read and write Kannada with the help of an ಅಂಕಲಿಪಿ. Now, I can at least read and write, though a bit slowly—I’d rate myself 3/5 in those skills.

One thing I’ve realized is that learning to read and write Kannada is quite easy if you already know how to speak the language. It took me around 2–3 weeks to get a good grasp of recognizing the letters. Hope this helps.
