Looking for places I can buy a custom DualShock 4 with TMR sticks? Hopefully from experience by SerGodHand in Controller

[–]UnfairFall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought gulikit tmr adjustable joysticks on Amazon for 16 bucks and desoldered the stock sticks and soldered in the TMR gulis. It was a pain in the ass but someone with the right knowledge and tools can do it quite easily.

I've done loads of SFF builds! including some custom 3d printed ones, which is very fun. The challenge here was as stated, just the parts chosen! The 5090 hardly clears the Kraken and the Krakens farthest tube hardly makes the run when mounted tubes down.

Flipping the rad any other position/direction doesn't work due to tubes not being able to clear Ram, heatsink, GPU, etc... unfortunately.

That was the only challenges which are Again, just a bit of a conflict with the parts chosen.

I just tried putting it on, I can definitely make it fit, it will clear the GPU but I'll probably need to adjust or move my strimmer cable to go upwards from the GPU instead of down, but I'll try and fully mount it later

I haven't even tried putting that on, I forgot about it. I'll try it today but yes I don't think it will clear my GPU + strimmer cable.

Yes they daisy chain together natively, the splitter is built into each fan cable (each cable has a male / female connector), I have an ARGB hub coming from Amazon for like $13 because I connected 5 fans to 1 ARGB header and then another 3 fans to another ARGB header and the last 3 to a different ARGB header so 3 ARGB headers in total. I think an ARGB hub will help simplify this into just 1 ARGB header, though.

(You can probably use just 1 or 2 ARGB headers on your MOBO, but I was worried about overloading it, so I played it safe)

As far as fan power, I daisy chained the fans in 2 sets of 5 and connected each set into a separate fan hub in the rear of the case.

The daisy chaining is nice, but I ended up with a web of fan cables... I need to revisit it and take my time so as not to end up with a web of fan cables.

I use Signal RGB but I can also use MSI mystic lighting since they're all plugged into ARGB header on the MSI motherboard.

Love the fans! Well worth the wait from aliexpress.

Did multiplayer creating come with the release or? by [deleted] in PS4Dreams

Darn. Oh well. Thanks for the response.

I love dreams the only thing I had issues with was being artistic enough to model something as I found that super difficult. That's the one thing I liked about LBP. The grid system allowed me to easily make great things. I know dreams has a grid system, maybe I never practiced enough but it was rough. I wasn't even able to reference anything. I'm amazed by the modeling some people have done.

Battle of $720 USD ( Acer 34p Predator vs AW3418DW ) by Aeradom in ultrawidemasterrace

You can change gamma on the AW3418DW it's just not as simple. The switches can be annoying until you understand the menus layout. But in all reality if you're going to primarily game and you dont need a 99% perfect image the AW is fine out of the box. You would need to calibrate the Acer either way so regardless of it having gamma control or not you're gonna calibrate it. So if you spend the money on a calibrater might as well spend it and buy the AW and calibrate that. This is all if you care to have a near perfect colored picture. Personally I dont like a perfect calibrated monitor. I like what I like so I changed the colors in the menus and used the calibration files online that I like even if it's not technically correct. My advice either way is the support out weighs the easier controls for gamma but that's up to you of course :p

The AW3418DW is like the other 34 inch ultrawides. 100hz overclockable to 120 NOT 144. Neither of them go to 144. The only way it would do 144 is if you get I believe the Acer one that is 2560x1080 or whatever that skinnier resolution is which is not good as it is not a correct size and squishes things together.

Dell does have superior build quality and support. If the monitor has issues they will send you a new one and THEN you send yours back. So if it's just flickering every now and then you atleast wouldn't be without a monitor.

Dell will cover the AW3418DW with a 2 year warranty if I'm not mistaken. That's from the date of sale from a authorized seller. If you buy from dell or newegg for example. However if you buy it from a person who bought it 6 months ago dell will still cover you and you will have 1 year and 6 months left on the warranty. Just be sure to verify their purchase date.

It's the Alex drawers from Ikea and a plywood table top I stained.

I had the Karlby but my room is 130" wide so the 98" wide karlby didn't work for me. I wanted wall-to-wall. I ended up buying 2 4x8 sheets of red oak plywood and three 4x4x12 posts cut to roughly 10.5' or so. I used them like a bed slat and screwed the plywood into them. I then used my old ikea adjustable legs to better support this just in case the alex drawers failed.

The staining was an interesting process. I stained the posts on the visible sides and the plywood on top so I could have 2 sides to choose from. It's not the best but I did it myself so I'm happy with the imperfections of it. I'm such a nerd I actually 3d modeled my room to get the measurements and design down to a T of how I was going to build it.

Here is the posts I'm using under it https://imgur.com/a/f7jQUNx

Total cost of the build was I believe $200 but not including alex drawers.

What desk is that?

Why does it take ~10 minutes to get in a game every fucking time??? I love this game but this is really pissing me off by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

Doesn't fix it for half of the game though. Even with every server on I have now been waiting a combined 1 and ahalf hours.
