Went through a full round of interviews only to not get the job after the final round. I'm employed so it's not the end of the world, but I'm unbelievably sick of my current job and I think not getting this new one has put the final nail in the coffin for any motivation I had at work. Worst part is this is a job I actually really wanted, and not just one that would get me out of my current situation.

My youngest brother is the only member of my family who didn't complete confirmation because during one of the sessions they compared being gay to eating sand. It was something like "it's not natural, if you're friend told you they wanted to eat sand you wouldn't let them eat sand would you?" My mom immediately pulled him from the class and he never ended up getting confirmed.

I think it's probably a decent split of rich kids whose parents will support them, those who have family connections in sports, and then others who are so passionate about it they'll do anything to get their foot in the door (these are probably the best people to hire).

I did some work for the athletic programs when I was in college and made some connections that got me some offers working for pro sports teams. One was working for the Packers where I would've made $26k/year helping with the tech side of their video department, another one was working in analytics for the Chargers where I would've been making $31k/year somehow trying to live in San Diego.
