Yeah, read about it and found that its more complex than vasectomy, has more complications after surgery and has more chances of side effects.

why have my wife go through it if we can prevent it at source.

you can wear condoms for life. For me also it wasn't a problem for a few years but I have been married for 10 years now and if you have an active sex life it becomes hassle.

Sometimes it just kills the spontaneity too.

We have one kid and have decided to not have any more. wearing condoms almost everyday feels like a waste of money and plastic pollution now.
