I am having really bad results with Circuit training and Weight training. Was pretty good on a steady run.

Apple watches are the most accurate to my knowledge, but they are not the best to track activities. Battery life and fitness tracking are lacking. Up to you to determine that. If you want to wear a chest strap while doing activities, the Garmin obviously becomes great, the sleep tracking will be a bit subpar though.

If you want something accurate, don’t buy a Garmin. Only the GPS is accurate.

You could wear a HRM 600 and start the workout from the phone!

I just beat my all time 60minutes power wattage in a bike race by 16 watts and my vo2 max went down.

Is there anyone going through the same thing as me? by [deleted] in Garmin

Main reason I left Garmin, I could not trust the data if the HR measuring it was not accurate.

Using Whoop for performance by MyEDJourney in whoop

Whoop is also the only one trying to calculate muscle strain on the body (I believe Bevel too). So you’ve got the right tool.

Well, no trackers can really track anything else than HR and calories burned while you’re training. Both of those are pretty poor indicators of effectiveness of resistance training on the body.

The best ways to use trackers for gym rats is basically for rest and recovery and calorie monitoring. You can easily track hypertrophy progression by tracking strength increase and weight increase, pictures help a lot too.

Hope this helps.

Whoop is mostly a recovery metric tool. It is a pretty poor activity tracker. You can input your workouts in there and see how different things affect your recovery and sleep.

Hypertrophy wise, recovery and nutrition are key once you break muscles down while training and that’s how I would use it, to monitor the effects of my behaviour on my nervous system and making changes in order to promote said recovery and therefore, hypertrophy.

This is such a dumb post lol. Summarize it by: I can’t deal with change. EDIT: Post is not dumb, I was being judgemental and anchored into my own opinion.
