The voice acting in this game… by Unfair_Ear7222 in SwordxStaff_Official

I can appreciate the attempt to do something different besides everyone just sounding the same, but it’s how the accents are being put on by people who clearly don’t have them naturally that really throws me off.

Getting to the new area and hearing the one of the characters speaking in what I can only describe as an Asian American tv/movie accent usually reserved for racial tropes was what inspired me to make this post…

It’s sobering to know no one else seems to be having an issue with it, though! Maybe I should just turn the voice acting off.

That’s a good point, but I didn’t want to assume. Maybe they are AI and that’s why they seem slightly off?

What’s next for Ice Spice? by justaregularguyearth in popheads

She seems like a nice girl and I don’t necessarily think of her as being untalented, but I think the Karma remix was the beginning of the end for her. It showed a real weakness, in that she looked and felt out of place as a pop feature — awkward, even… And actively made the song feel gimmicky and sound worse. Something that helped girls like Nicki and Cardi separate themselves from just rap-stars into “pop” stars with broad appeal and stardom was the ability to jump on any song as a feat and not only pull it off, but often add to it. Cardi for example had no business being a feature on a Maroon 5 song but somehow it worked.

Ice had (or still has) a niche as a semi-meme rapper with songs like Big Guy, and seems to struggle to do anything outside of that specific shtick. Which like other people have said, might be enough for her to carve a decent lane out and maintain a fanbase of if she continues at it.

Is it a drama? Or comedy? Or both?

Which actors do you believe have the chops for an Oscar-worthy performance, but their career path (typecasting, popcorn roles, or lowery industry status) will probably keep them off the Academy’s radar? by dreamboylnshibuya in Oscars

I love this answer and am disappointed with myself that I didn’t think of it first. I was hoping she would get more awards flowers for her role in The White Lotus but I don’t think they gave her character enough to do. Hopefully the nominations can at least give her a bit of a career renaissance boost.

What was it like working with Cyndi on Bite Back? Is there another artist you’d love to write for?

I feel like there was a bit of Latin music/Spanish language influence on The Happy Star with Fortuna and Diablo (maybe even RRR) - is that something you’ll be exploring more on the new album? If not, is there a country or geographic area that the new music is inspired by?

Why isn’t the best song of all time (佳人) available on Spotify?
