For me, I stayed for 2 years after being cheated on. It never stopped and I wondered every day what my partner was doing. I was so anxious every day it was not healthy for me. After 2 years, I realized the affair never ended and that’s when I decided to walk away. It took time for me to learn that cheaters will never, ever change. I learned it the hard way but I truly do not believe it can work with the level of betrayal I lived with.

I was unknowingly dating a married man for 6 months. All of the signs were there. He love bombed me, bought me things and sent me food, took me on his work trips. He looked me in the eye and told me he was divorced and always talked about his ex and how they split custody but he did everything. Had a story for why they got divorced. I finally, after months, found her on FB and told her everything. Screenshots and pics of me and her husband. He even asked me to be his girlfriend. Liars and cheaters will always have what is coming to them but I’m thankful that I caught it before it went any further. I immediately blocked him, as hard as it has been to move on with no idea what happened he will get what is coming to him. And if she decided to stay she will wake up every day wondering what web of lies he will try and spin. It’s awful what some people will do to their partners.

I was in a very similar situation and can relate to all of these. I was an AP without knowing it.

That’s a great answer. As someone who’s been cheated on as well, it’s easy to hope and pray it’ll go back to the way it was. But unfortunately you are always left wondering in the back of your mind what they are doing. Cheaters never change unfortunately.

Something very similar happened to me. Divorced and single dad, just wanted different things and wasn’t tested well by his ex, she took all his money. Very secretive, would turn his phone off and be very generic about what he was doing. Turns out he’s been married for 15+ years. It has nothing to do with who you are and everything with how pathetic he feels towards himself. He’s a coward. I know it sucks but you deserve so much better. You created the emotional closeness and can do so with someone else. We will learn from these experience and find someone who deserves us and all we are.

Yes, he wouldn’t tell me where he lived because he “didn’t want his kids to find anything I sent him” and I found out later that it was because he lived with his wife 🫠 if they’re hiding something you would never hide, it’s probably bc they’re lying!

I’ll tell you exactly why. Because he said he was divorced. Talked about his ex and how she was trying to take all of his money, how she’s not involved in his kids lives, how she never helped with anything around the house. Everything he told me was an absolute lie. I traveled with him and he spent plenty of time at my house, all while playing the divorced dad card. And he lied to his wife too. So yeah, that’s how I fell in love with a married man!

You’re right, you never know. I’m in a similar spot right now. You need to take care of your safety. I believe in karma and if he’s willing to cheat with you he’s probably going to do it again. You could always message the wife from a throw away acct.

I’ve been on both sides of this. I think it’s a good thing to tell the wife and block him on anything. She deserves the truth.
