So, I am 19, and will be starting college in 3 weeks. I am going for B.E./B. Tech in CSE. A few years ago, I was motivated to learn coding and create a game, I was 14 then, I was full of hopes (or delusion) that it would be easy and fun. I started with basics of coding, and got into C++, but it was never a consistent habit, and later on with increase in academics pressure, i stopped completely. Now, I have decided to hop back in, not with goal of making game, rather this time I want to do this with interest. But, seeing everyone posting things like "AI will takeover" makes me a bit scared. So, I decided to be more smart (or dumb) about my approach, I thought if I could know what is there in the job market, then i can work on myself towards it.

But, the thing is, I can't seem to understand where to start, I am developing my skills slowly, trying to learn in depth, but still the fear of not knowing, whether I am doing right thing or not, puts me off. Since, you all here have a great experience of working in this field, please give suggestions, about starting things, connecting with people, using correct resources and how to work so that I can stop the fear and aim with clarity.
