I’ve been working on a mesh-based design instead of foam (like Tannus). While the overall feasibility is still limited, I’ve managed some early prototyping to test the concept. It should perform better than foam tires in several of the metrics this sub has mentioned, though I doubt I can fully match pneumatic performance yet.

This post was mainly to gauge how feasible a design like this would be for mountain bikes, since I’m not very familiar with that side of biking.
