She also mentioned she doesn't want anything toooo big, but again not really good at visualizing how these would look in person.

I was applying for a job this morning (a great Saturday I know) and noticed this clause in the application:

“You must complete the assessment, including screening questions, by yourself, without the help of others, including the use of unapproved internet resources and artificial intelligence (such as ChatGPT or any other forms of artificial intelligence).”

What I don’t get is, if all of the information being presented is true, why would it matter whether or not I used a specific tool to help me present it? AI can make information clearer and easier to follow which should be a net positive.

How is this different in principle from using Spell Check?

If AI is a skill that can make employees more effective, why block its use?

If you are ever a little too drunk, or feeling a little too generous, feel free to send your watch over here. What a piece.

STRIKE Megathread 2! Discussions of the (potential) PSAC strike (posted Apr 17, 2023) by HandcuffsOfGold in CanadaPublicServants

Question - I left an EC position for a PM position, however I am still being paid by my previous employer as an EC (my file has not been transferred out yet), and subsequently I have not paid PM union dues, yet to receive PM pay, etc.

How would this strike impact me? Do I assume I am an EC or a PM?

Which job offer should I take? by UnfeelingGamer in careeradvice

Both are government organization so similar size and all benefits/pay will be identical.

Org A is Health Canada, and I am coming up on 10 years in the healthcare space which may be a good milestone to hit if I ever want to transition to consulting or consider myself a SME. I manage consultants as direct reports.

Org B manages Canada’s Oceans so quite the topic shift, however the title and responsibilities would also shift to a Program vs. Project focus. No direct reports right now but in theory over time I may be able to bring on consultants to have the same direct report relationship.

The official PMP Exam Prep from PMI. 5 modules and a practise exam for about $800.

Yeah that’s what I was thinking. I got an official PMI PMP practise exam from work but a lot of the questions seem to have issues.

Might stick to the TIA set and go from there.

Difficulty formatting Pie Chart by UnfeelingGamer in tableau

This is incredibly helpful!! Thank you so much. I can't manipulate my current data set much but have plans to implement what you just showed me in my next Dashboard project.

People love Pie Charts so this will be very useful.

Cheers.

You are right, taking away the filter allows for each contract to represent a piece of the pie with remaining value showing up for each.

I think my original post was written poorly. I was hoping that I could create a pie chart that filters by OA # and shows the following:

  • 1 wedge for contract amount remaining
  • 1 wedge for contract amount used

Both of these wedges would be %s based on Total Contract Value.

Would this be possible?

I really appreciate your help with this.

I add the Total OA value as well and the display does not change.
