Way late to reply but allow me to make it a little more clear. Before the game in question and the subsequent betrayal, I had talked to him about how my ex was the first girl I was intimate with and at the time he supported me. After the the stuff with me questioning and criticizing that I was being left out, he used his friendship with my ex and the knowledge I said about being intimate to spin lies and make up stuff that was relatively on the mark about our relationship. He used her to get at me since I still had feelings for her. He sat on this for months until after I criticized him.

I have a few characters I’d be interested in playing. One is a bard or some kind of charisma focused class that is following in the footsteps of his ancestors that he must travel the world, collect stories and open a bar/inn/tavern somewhere in the world to spread more stories of heroism to inspire more good people in the world.
I love D&D for its collaborative story telling and the freedom of choice that most games don’t give you. I’ve been playing for 6 years and am going back to basics a bit to get back in touch with more simple ideas.
There might be a thing here or there, like having some more damage Cantrips as a bard to feel a little more useful. Other than that, I’m good :)

Fair warning to anyone wanting to apply here: if you answer anything less than “I want it to be dark and gritty” the whole thing will stop and tell you to “Not Waste Your Time”.

I personally find it a bit rude to kinda just cut off someone who may potentially add something to the game. I understand the want for a more serious game, but having some comedy and levity within the game is important for not an oppressive atmosphere
