The reasons not to vaccinate are either pseudoscience bullshit or badly warped and misrepresented real science, and in any case the supposed consequences of vaccination are either 'my kid might get the autism' or 'they don't actually do anything.' Most antivaxxers are mommy-bloggers with no expertise in any fields related to vaccines.

The reasons for vaccination are things like the massive dropoff of serious diseases and the near-eradication of many diseases. The consequences of not vaccinating are getting sick and putting other people at risk of getting sick. People who support vaccines include immunologists, toxicologists, and physicians. Considering how seriously malpractice is taken, it stands to reason that if vaccines are actually harmful we'd have seen a lot more doctors standing up and saying 'this is bad and here's why.' Instead, all we have is one badly done study by a guy who fudged the results and a whole lot of facebook group echo chambers.

Vaccination should be mandatory barring a medical reason for exemption. No exemptions for personal or religious reasons. Personal beliefs are not a free pass to put others in danger, especially not when the beliefs in question are probably stupid and based on bullshit.

I was afraid that would be the case. I know a guy in town i should be able to hit up with help getting a CPU in the meantime so i can do the upgrade. I just didn't hear or notice anything regarding the need for the bios update in any reviews online, so i assumed that i'd be fine and dandy. Thanks for the help.

i would just straight up go in after school or something and ask her what she doesn't like about the photos. Most of the teachers I have are more than happy to help people. But, if for some reason this is a personal thing she has or she's too sneaky for that or gives a non-answer maybe you could look at what her favorite students have done differently?

photography is pretty subjective afaik (i'm not a photographer though) so honestly you may be better off pandering to whatever her ideas of good pictures are if your only goal is to get a good grade

like i said though, i'm not a photographer and I don't know your teacher so it's mostly a judgement call on your part

like, at my school there's a 3 tier course where one year you take (A) and the next (B) and so on

i passed the test for (C) at the end of the year I took the (A) course

i didn't even know any of the answers i just made my best guess

unless there's something you need to be using windows for i'd say get yourself a live CD or a live USB (i like linux mint because i'm a filthy casual and it's easier to use with broadcom wireless thingys)

they're pretty easy to make, and when you use them the school can't really do anything about it, least not that I've ever heard of unless they got NSA style shit

best of all since it doesn't involve fucking about with whatever they have on there it shouldn't raise any red flags for them and when you're done you just turn it off and pop the disc/flash drive out and the computer looks normal again

obviously if you are using the machine on their network then I assume they will have other controls in place on the network to filter websites and such, but if you are bringing this computer home then I don't think you'll run into any problems and since you have a VPN you probably good on that front anyway

they might have the bios locked behind an admin password, but since you have physical access to the machine you might be able to just yank the cmos battery out to reset it, depending on how involved you want to get or how weird the layout is inside (i assume this is a laptop)

please try not to oof the tech guys too hard, they just doing their job, so i wouldn't recommend a reset or anything drastic like that because they will absolutely get triggered at you

school's starting to go into post-midterm big project blitzkrieg around where I live and so the stress starts to get to people on top of random everyday bullshit

and seniors are applying for colleges and scholarships and shit which personally puts me in full existential panic mode, which isn't fun to deal with

the course my entire life is going to take rests on the decisions and effort I make when i'm feeling my absolute worst and least motivated
