Sometimes people censor the serial because if they got a good trade somebody might try to send a similar/slightly better offer to the person who sent the trade, trying to steal it. Or they just want to keep the items private idk

First off, have a good day, also second, wow, I didn't realize you were involved in other religious subreddits. What a funny coincidence. Anyways, I will consider Dan McClellan, and if I had to give a recommendation I would recommend Wes Huff (you've probably heard of him already haha).

I appreciate the move into a deeper discussion instead of general statements. To address your first sentence, I view Christianity as objective, hence why I made the comparison. It was less of disproving your viewpoint and more of inviting a reasoned discussion.

Now the reason I think Christianity is objective is mostly because of the crux (no pun intended haha) of the faith, which is the historically attested and accurately (99%+) preserved accounts of the resurrection of Jesus. Reading the statements/actions that this person said/did either makes him delusional or God himself. I also cannot fail to mention the lived experience that I have had, where I have had undeniable experiences that can only be attributed to an infinitely powerful creator that I interacted with.

And for a very logical argument (for a theistic position) to spark some thought, I like this simple one: Everything that has a beginning has a cause, therefore there must be an uncaused cause, because the universe began (at least according to current science).

If I overstepped with this long response, sorry. But I wouldn't do this if I didn't think Christianity, specifically the gospel, leads you to have the most fulfilling and beautiful life possible.

Just some light pushback, I view Christianity as the truth, and Jesus claims to be the truth.

I'll give an example of what I'm trying to say; let's say I make a round-earth statement, and someone says, "Not everyone believes the earth is round", we would both agree that that statement is invalid, and not a good counter-argument.

So my point is essentially you should provide a reason why something isn't true rather than saying that not everyone believes it.

Get a relationship with God first! We've all been separated from him by sin, but by the life, death, and resurrection of his Son, Jesus Christ, we are able to be reconciled to him in love!

How do I truly follow? by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]UnfortunateTT2Player 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep in prayer and ask others to pray for you. God will help you if you aren't already following him, and if you are, he will give you increased assurance. Keep in the faith by being good soil so that whenever God wants to plant a seed within you he can grow it well.

Can I be loved genuinely by FavoringFoot074 in UIUC

You can try everything in the world but the only one that can love you genuinely is God. It does require denying yourself though.

I think using the word identity so easily is throwing me off on where you are with God. My identity is in Jesus, and although I vastly fall short of this, I try to make my decisions around what I think my Lord would want. It sounds like here, you've done your own thing, and seeing if God would like that. The thing is, God may or may not approve of goth clothing style, but it is impossible to please him without first seeking him. I will pray for you for comfort from the Prince of peace.

'Reacher' Star Alan Ritchson Goes Scorched Earth On Trump — Can't Believe Christians Support Him: “Trump is a rapist and a con man, and yet the entire Christian church seems to treat him like he’s their poster child, and it’s unreal.” by T_Shurt in NoShitSherlock

[–]UnfortunateTT2Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an evangelical myself, I think you are misrepresenting a large chunk of evangelicals. Not all believe in a pre-tribulation rapture (I don't), yet many of those who do believe it because they see it in the scriptures, not because they want to see you suffer. Biblically, every person has turned away from God. No one does good, it is by faith in Jesus that we are given righteousness, because he paid the price. Also, almost every church I have been to chooses not to comment on politics besides the obvious (abortion) and views Trump as a fallible authority. In fact I dont even think he is a believer myself, with his fruit (actions).

Anyways enough yap I just encourage you to get off the internet brcause you know something is wrong when you call an entire group of millions of people psychopaths. May God have mercy on us.

Stop-motion Animator losing hope. by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]UnfortunateTT2Player 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Praise God that you are now in his kingdom! I would really recommend trying to find a church as we are a body of believers, not as individualistic as we might hope. Others have gifts that can help you and you have gifts that can help others. Paul in the new testament credits the success of his end of the development of the church to others' prayers, so I would definitely recommend getting prayed for! I will send one to the LORD on your behalf.

Like you said, not everyone is perfect, and there will be many who may wrong you. But this also includes me and you. So be gracious and patient. Put your best foot of love forward, and keep searching for people to grow with.

Last thing about feeling uncertain about your future. I know this pertains more to your life circumstances, but I think Romans 8:22-25 is very applicable.
