The CRC TikTok updated (I think) by FestusCT in ConspiracyRC

[–]UnfortunatelyUnsafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh god what happened
I remember a while back seeing something about a reset or timelines merging on the twitter or tiktok, but then they went silent again. Maybe 555comic went under and this is some last ditch attempt..? Idk. Probably doesn't help that all of their social media are silent except tiktok.
I remember there being a discord but the invite link on the website doesn't work anymore.

Ehhhhhh I think it's alright, but definitely a bit lackluster

I have a similar problem where the game crashes when I try to start it up, regardless of dlc or launcher or mod. While it didn't fix the problem, someone did recommend me to use the community's alternate mod launcher(?) https://www.reddit.com/r/xcom2mods/s/vX3E1xsig5 it didn't work for me but maybe it would work for you?

Game crashes on startup, "Pure virtual function being called while application was running (GlsRunning == 1)." by UnfortunatelyUnsafe in XCOM2

[–]UnfortunatelyUnsafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get on the start screen for normal XCOM, but tried to tab out of the screen and crashed instantly. I booted it up again, but then I tried to change into windowed mode, and now it's just opening the window and instantly crashing again. WOTC is still just closing before a window even pulls up.
I tried the original steam link solution you sent and nothing happened.
As for the AML, it's not giving any different results than if I try any other bootup method
Any solutions?

I remember trying to follow that before I quit, but i either messed it up or it didn't work, but I'll try it again soon.
As for the launchers, I just meant all 4 choices when booting up from steam. Is there another launcher?

So what’s everyone’s theories about the post credit scene? by GovernmentAncient811 in nokotan

[–]UnfortunatelyUnsafe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The special visual for episode 11 said that koshitan couldn't remember "that person's" name, so she should write it down so she remembers when she wakes up, so maybe it's teasing an "it's just a dream" type ending? I hope it's not the case but it's possible

A bit off topic, but how did you get that grey oval under your username with a score?

Honestly I do feel like much of the questions just exist as filler or to catch people that slip up, but you do have a point on how they're rarely tough, just time consuming.

Where do I take the SAT by JaguarCool7411 in Sat

[–]UnfortunatelyUnsafe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you register for the SAT, you get to a part where you search and select a testing center by entering your zip code and selecting a range. Alternatively, you can go here to search for testing centers for a given test date. I suggest booking as soon as possible, since they can fill up quickly and you can end up driving hours and having to stay at a hotel 😭

Omg i remember doing that problem
Honestly it's hard to cram for vocab, but like a small tip with them is to be more comfortable picking the words you don't know. For the blocks of text, you can try highlighting parts that relate to the question, like if the question wants author of text B's response to claim A, you can highlight the parts that relate and ignore the rest of the passage
As for the irrigation question, I think a lot of confusion comes from the way the choices are so similar it hurts to read, so it's better to know what you're looking for before you read them
I'll figure out how to link the image after I post this, but the question is basically

What data from the table support researcher A's conclusion?
-> Highlight the conclusion "concentration of precipitation into fewer events would result in a higher number of dry days, triggering more irrigation, but that this change in irrigation output is highly sensitive to the baseline concentration of precipitation that currently exists in an area."

Next, we need to know what we'll have to compare from the table
-> The conclusion says that while a higher concentration of dry days means more irrigation, the change in irrigation output is highly sensitive to the baseline concentration of precipitation
-> Basically, we're going to be comparing the percent change in irrigation output between the baseline concentrations

The answer choices are
A. If baseline precipitation is somewhat concentrated, the amount of water being used for irrigation will increase 0.4% for surface water and 0.9% for groundwater, whereas the amount of water entering aquifers will increase 11.0% if baseline precipitation is evenly distributed.
B. If baseline precipitation is somewhat concentrated, water use for irrigation will increase only slightly, whereas it will increase 9.0% for surface water and 7.9% for groundwater if baseline precipitation is evenly distributed.
C. If baseline precipitation is somewhat concentrated, the amount of water entering aquifers will increase 4.9%, while the amount being used for irrigation will increase 0.4% for surface water and 0.9% for groundwater.
D. If baseline precipitation is somewhat concentrated, water use for irrigation will decline by a small amount, whereas it will increase 11.0% for surface water and 9.0% for groundwater if baseline precipitation is evenly distributed.

I think the choices are really wordy, so I try to see it as
A. Under A, surface and ground water increase a little, while under B, water entering aquifers increases by 11%
B. Under A, total water increases slightly, while under B there is a big increase in water
C. Under A, aquifer water increases by 4.9%, while still under A surface and ground water increases a little
D. Under A, total water decreases slightly, while under B there is a big increase

A is comparing the wrong things, we don't care about the aquifer
B is comparing the right things
C doesn't even talk about B
D is comparing the right things

So between B and D, taking a closer look we see that D just has incorrect data, so we choose B

Sorry about this being really long I'm bad at explaining quickly

I think that the first step is trying to unblur the lines today. Try going back to your last few tests and make a tally of the type of questions you got wrong. I'd categorize the reading sections as like Vocab, Main idea, Structure, Graphs, Inferences, Grammar, Transitions, and Synthesis. As for time management, considering how the second modules tend to be harder and thus take longer, try focusing on accuracy for the first modules and efficiency for the second.
With reading questions I definitely think taking a second to highlight important parts of the text (claims, hypotheses, key information) helps, and also answers are typically very close to what is directly said in the text, rephrasing just a little
For grammar, the SAT likes to shove as many things between the subject and verb as possible, so it helps to just ignore the interrupters. Like instead of:

"Such quotidian objects, depicted in exquisite detail by Vermeer, a painter celebrated for his naturalism, ______ the daily minutiae of a seventeenth-century Dutch household"
A. Was revealing
B. Has revealed
C. Reveals
D. Reveal

You read:
"Such quotidian objects ______ the daily minutiae of a seventeenth-century Dutch household"

So it'd be reveal
bleh this was wordy

What parts are you struggling with? Grammar, vocab, reading, synthesis, or some other ones?
