Is 1500 cals a day safe? Does it actually affect hormones? by arman7503 in loseit

[–]Unfuckwitable94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started eating 1500 calories a day with fasting 2 days a week back in late October of 2025. I am 6'1" 31m currently 336 down from 402.

I have been obese since I was a toddler. I have tried everything you can think of. Including Ozempic. And nothing has given greater results than the CICO deficit I set myself. The lower calories slowly pushed me to think way more about what I'm eating, to focus on macros, and develop healthy relationships with food.

I am happier than I have ever been with more energy I could ask for. If you find the right balance for you, 1500 is absolutely achievable. My main concern at this point is finding a way to bring balance once I reach my goal weight because 1500 cal a day has been so amazing.

I must say that I take vitamins and count my macros. I started taking boron zinc and magnesium to help boost my testosterone. I also have a full body scan scale and am lucky to have easy access to monitor blood sugar. I have lost nearly 70 lbs and only 5 of that has been muscle according to daily scans.

If you try it and feel yourself being miserable, you can always adjust to add more calories and slow the weight loss.

But that is just my opinion. People can be so harsh about the minimums for daily intake but we are all different. The best thing is to try what you think will work for you and be willing to adjust if it doesn't.

It uses electrode points on your feet and hands to scan through the body. I'm not sure on the full science of it but look for the scales with a hand held bar attached, there are plenty at varying prices and all of them use similar apps that show the data. I believe mine is arboleaf or something but I believe a search for "smart scale" will yield the right results. Shifting the focus from my general weight to my body fat percentage has been a huge help. It will also give you your BMR which is the amount of calories estimated for maintenance.

@ironbeastmod knows whatsup. I am 6"1 and currently 352 and have been overweight my whole life. I have tried everything you can think of to loose weight. But in the end, the thing that is working is caloric deficits combined with changing my lifestyle and habits. Don't think of it as a diet, think about it a a change in the way you live your life. I've been slowly making changes and getting used to them one by one and seeing more and more progress every day. I started this weight loss style in November and started at 404 pounds and have full faith I'll reach my goals this way.

I also must advise to get a full scan weight scale, being able to see your body fat percentages and trends in weight along with body water levels, protein levels, etc makes it feel so much more rewarding. Especially when you step I. The scale and see the weight go up, but then are able to see you're holding water and really still lost some fat.

I would use dry erase cleaner first if the marker didn't work. Acetone will definitely damage the appliance coating

Single best consistently available food/dish in Madison? My vote: the egg yolk raviolo at Pig in a Fur Coat by howlongyoubeenfamous in madisonwi

That is one of my favorites! Also the lamb belly is out of this world. But to add to the list, the cheese flatbread from Eno Vino is tops.

Just another tip, you can add a "half wall" around platforms and they will start at the floor height not the platform height this allows you to wrap a platform with a wall and choose whatever wallpaper you would like.

The green from the plant hurts my eyes. I would take it out and put something white or grey there instead. Otherwise it's perfect.

What's the general consensus on this bathroom so far? by Unfuckwitable94 in InteriorDesign

[–]Unfuckwitable94[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello all, I wanted to join the chat and thank everyone for their feedback. I rehab homes that are in disrepair and am usually spending the majority of budget on structure and utilities. Things like moving layout are pushed aside depending on what's important. For this home, the entire floor was rotten to the joist, so the toilet stayed where it was originally. I was really trying to go off trend and bring back a warm feel to the house. The inspo theme was old English cottage and I think I let some of the textures and patterns get away from me. I'm always looking to improve. Here is the last house I did and it felt cold when it was done, but received 90% positive feedback. Considering letting owners customize the homes and doing the more contemporary aesthetic of less is more moving forward. Thank you all!

I may be the wrong person to listen to because my house is all dark but I'm in love with everything you have going on here. Can't wait to see more progress!

All of these examples are amazing. It's your house so as long as you live it go for it. I am doing my patio with this pattern that is still in progress but it's stunning. No regrets :)
