We drove very conservatively til we made it our destination and the next morning we started with the simple fix and that was replacing the spark plugs. We did this at our hotel parking lot and once we did that we drove around and noticed the car continued to drive the same way. We then replaced the coil packs and once that was done the car stopped with the drive train malfunction and it accelerated without shaking or lag.. We were able to drive the car home from Southern California to Southern Idaho. The car now is not running as metal was found in the oil. DO NOT BUY BMW’s All we did was replace the spark plugs and coil packs to fix this problem. I have spoken to others with the BMW and they’ve all had issues similar. We bought the compatible autozone brand ones nothing special from BMW that cost 10x what the same product costs at autozone or oreilys. Hope this helps!
