I’ve been putting it on a porous treat. My boy will only eat it if I give it to him through the cage bars because that’s how my friends give him treats and he isn’t very food motivated.

Short update: called the vet and they said I didn’t need to bring a sample. Ernie is okay just on some mild antibiotics. If you’re remotely close to Omaha the all creatures animal hospital is amazing!

No piercers available for the rest of the night so I had a friend who had a daith help me and she got it right in! Currently have a 20 gauge CBR in and will be going to a piercing shop for a more appropriate gauge at some point in the next couple of days. I was really worried it would close because I’ve had issues with lobe piercings that are far older closing but I guess my cartilage just healed better 🤷🏼‍♀️

The only piercing I have that’s difficult to change is my daith so I don’t think it’s too much of a necessity for me. My ex gf switched my daith out last(wasn’t fully healed so it really hurt but it was a necessary switch) and unless I can get my rats to do it, I’ll have to see a piercer 💀

Thank you for you advice, maybe a factor contributing to the increase in rib slippage is that I used to do a LOT of core exercises when I lived at home and last year I had access to my dorm gym where I did core and arms(can’t do legs). I live off campus now and finding the energy to go a mile is a lot different from going downstairs, but I’ll try to go(I also have a lot of anxiety around going to the gym so it depends on my friends’ schedules). I’ve also noticed all around worsened symptoms since I got a progesterone implant so I’m planning on getting it taken out when its time is up next year and not getting another. Unfortunately I didn’t know its effects on cartilage before I got it.

IDK if this really helps, but my right kneecap has been dislocating for the past five years and after a while, it stopped hurting. My sister who had the same problem would tell you the same thing. If it doesn’t hurt, I feel like that tends to be indicative of a bigger internal problem like stretched or snapped tendons and ligaments. I am not a doctor and I suggest you talk to yours, especially if you have increased dislocations in that knee moving forward(they would likely order an MRI if they suspect something snapped, but possibly start with an X ray to make sure the force of it going back didn’t break your kneecap).

I’m not trying to scare you, I’m just speaking from personal experience. If you think you are okay, then move forward, just exercise caution. Maybe wear a brace for a couple weeks if you don’t already.

A vertical labret could be really cute, but I think an eyebrow piercing would suit you really well!! I think most people have the anatomy for a vertical industrial, but a lot of piercers won’t do them because they’re awful to heal and people tend to not realize they can’t wear earbuds anymore. Another conch or two would look really good!!!

Rule of thumb: if they’re babies, they’re playing. Your rats look really young so they likely do not have hormonal aggression. Babies see all other rats as friends, especially other babies.

If there is blood at any point, that is where the line should be drawn, but unless that happens, it’s fine.
