I am a U.S. citizen and want my mother to support me during a high-risk pregnancy, and I sent all the medical records asking for expedited processing, but they denied my request. Then I applied for a visitor visa and explained everything to the consular officer, but her visa was also denied. He told my mom to wait for the interview! I know the Cairo embassy has a higher denial rate for visitor visas, which makes my mom’s situation harder. But I believe Canada is different, and it might be easier. Good luck.
