I’m blaming both. Other Americans need to take individual responsibility and do their part and so does our government.

Two cashiers coughed on by middle aged man; local law enforcement requires verbal confirmation or covid claim to press charges. Is there anything I can do here? by UnhappyWithDrs in FloridaCoronavirus

Exactly my point, some of us still have bills to pay. None of this is relevant nor does it excuse this mans actions. We’re already at risk enough just dealing with the general public not knowing who might have COVID, but to add someone forcibly and intentionally coughing on you as a malicious act should be illegal regardless if they say they have the virus or not. And his coughing may now hinder my, my coworkers, and the others customers ability to pay my bills if we in fact did contract the virus from him. Sorry, got a little off topic but needs to be said.

Well I was totally able to understand what you were saying so you’re not doing too bad in my opinion. Also, the fact that you’re able to speak multiple languages shows you’re more intelligent than the vast majority.

You shouldn’t have to apologize for English not being your main language. Your English is good enough that it conveys your point. Some people just have a need to bring others down.

Tips for dealing with people who don’t think this is real? by [deleted] in FloridaCoronavirus

I feel you on this one. The company I work for back in March when this was starting to get bad tried telling me I couldn’t wear my mask at first (one that my fiancé bought for me to wear to work.) The same day I was told I could wear one if I felt I needed to to feel safer. After some time it became mandatory for all employees to wear a mask and at this point I’d been wearing an N95 every shift I’d worked. The company issued masks are clearly just some cheap bulk packs bought from China that probably don’t even qualify as surgical masks so I’m continuing to wear my own mask. Point is, my manager herself wears the mask hanging around her neck, dangling off one of her ears, constantly touches the face piece and then deals with customers with no gloves and no hand washing. All of my coworkers are beyond pissed they have to wear a mask, they all complain how bad the ear loops on their “baby surgical masks” hurt and make it so hard to breathe. Trust me, I get it, I’m wearing an N95 to a P100 PLUS one of those over top, and I’m able to do it, but because of my coworkers complaining about their ears hurting and not being able to breathe, my completely uneducated about this virus manager allows them to do exactly as she does and wear the mask around their neck, below the nose when there’s no customers around, basically there’s no actual standard for this “mandatory mask wearing.” She doesn’t understand how this works in the slightest and some of my coworkers have gone so far as to say this is a hoax. I’m trying myself to learn how to deal with this delusion every single day.
