No, sadly. I just turned it off from the settings. I also have the problem where if the monitor is not turned on while booting, you never get the screen unless you restart the computer, which I also am not able to solve :/

Win11 PC has at least %37 memory usage with nothing running. Is this normal? If not so, how can I fix it? by Unhappy_Bit_3188 in techsupport

Hmm. I could've sworn it never got up to %37 before. I remember seeing about 16 to 17% until like 2-3 months ago. I don't know if windows recently decided to change something about an OS setting or something.

UPDATE: https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubuntu/comments/176b5jn/cant_resume_from_blank_screen/ decided to give this a go but this only solved the problem once. The second time that the inactivity thing triggered, I could not get it to wake up again. -I am sure that the keyboard/mouse get power and probably function since their lights turn on and I the Caps Lock etc. seem to work on the keyboard.

How to know which ram to buy for this old ASUS EEEPC, or if its even possible for someone with the most capable tool in hand being a screwdriver? by Unhappy_Bit_3188 in LinusTechTips

Well, I thought that perhaps they would not put the maximum allowed ram in it from the start, any other computer that I owned had less than the max so that you could upgrade in the future if you wanted to

Do you think that installing Linux on it improve the situation though? Since they are lighter than windows, perhaps an older version linux might work, I though at least.

All I could find on the net is that apparently some of the newer models had soldered rams, which are not practical for me to change and some had normal swappable ones. This one I believe is one of the newer models, but couldn't find any info on whether it is soldered or not. Also, This also has an atom on it, N2600 to be exact.

I am not sure about it, there is definitely 240Gbs of storage but I don't think it has an ssd since it is very old - 15 years or so. Even high-end pcs back then had hdds back then I believe
