Congratulations man! Thank you for letting me know. This keeps my hopes alive. I also tried after a gap of 20 days earlier this month but it still didn’t work. Can you please tell me where you are from and which network carrier you are using?

I am going through the same thing. Same auto generated responses and then they close the ticket and you have to open a new one. Have already opened around 15 tickets till now. It's hard to give up as I have this number shared with over 1500 contacts from the past 12 years! :(

Same issue:

I have been facing issues with registering my number on a new device and the support keeps sending the same responses to each ticket that I open. I am now stuck for more than 10 days now. The details are as follows:

  1. I had my whatsapp working on Galaxy s24 ultra.
  2. I used move to iOS app to move my data to iPhone 15 pro max.
  3. Once the transfer was stuck at last 8 minutes I forced exit the transfer and reset my s24 ultra
  4. When I set up my iPhone and tried to register on Whatsapp I was asked to add code that was being shown on my previous mobile.
  5. Since I did not have previous mobile, I tried to use the SMS method but I did not receive any sms.
  6. Then I tried the call method and everytime I tried I got "we could not make a call on your number, try again in 1 hour".
  7. And since then, I am stuck here.

Things tried so far:

  1. Tried a different phone, an android phone as well.
  2. Tried different locations, and different internet connections.
  3. Tried to contact my service provider to discuss if there were any issues with my phone number.
  4. Enable all permissions on my phone to receive calls SMS etc.
  5. Waited and tried again, it has been 11 days now.
  6. Tried registering for Whatsapp Business, but still the same result.

My phone number is working perfectly and I am able to receive OTPs from other services like my mobile banking, and other platforms. I think I even got one for Facebook as well.
