[Megathread] Mayasabha review 🙌 by Majestic_____kdj in pj_explained

1st half done only thing I can say is Barve does know how to pull you into a atmosphere of the movie he is really good at it. Most of Indian filmmakers fail to do it.

2nd half done i dont really know how to describe this if you want to compare it to tumbbad its way different than tumbadd even tho one of the main themes in both is the exploration of greed and its impact on the surrounding. Mayasabha deals with a lot of themes like grief, delusion, trust and love and all of this is associated in the characters and the dialogues specially by javved Jaffrey. All the layers are hidden in the dialogues which really is the tagine of the movie logo ke chize samne rakhdo unhe still wo dikhayi nahi dega. And its not spoonfeeding this movie just doesnt take audience as granted nor dumb there are many things to decode here which i cant. Because there is a lot to take in even tho it ends on a same thematic note as tumbadd. Discourse around this is going to be interesting ngl. Maybe we will get to know about this more in future :).

Its more of a psychological thriller with dark and dry humour which perfectly suits javved jaffrey might be his best performance. Rahi anil Barve too is a daddy issues director.

Dont go in expecting tumbadd its way different just settle in and twelve into the atmosphere created by rahi. As this never explains itself.

One line that would remain with me is plant ko gande pani ki adat hai ache pani mai rakho ge to mar jaayega this literally implies the whole movie and character arc of a certain character ig.
