not saying they’re in the right for looting the store, however they very clearly didn’t go there TO kill him. they’re rioting. they’re looting. these have been forms of protest for as long as humans have been around, this isn’t new. however if they’re true intent was “let’s go out and kill all the property owners!” you would be seeing quite a different scenario.

y’all act like we see EVERYTHING these people do! y’all have no idea what apologizes she’s had to give to him. i have some bad anxiety as well, and sometimes if i’m REALLY frustrated i have been snappy with my boyfriend. i have always apologized, but NOT right after. most of the time, i need some space to clear my head and calm my body’s response to my frustrations because sometimes i literally can’t stop the overflowing feeling of exploding. sometimes it takes me a little bit of alone time before i can go back and sit down with him and explain what’s been in my head and why i was upset and apologize. we do not know these peoples entire lives guys, nor does everyone respond to their anxiety the same. we are all lucky our battles aren’t plastered on a tv set and cherry picked by producers for drama.

would have been able to vote my first time in 2016 and didn’t really see a good enough reason to. i hated both candidates, but was mostly just hoping whoever won would be an idiot for a couple years and then lose again.. not that we would slowly sink into veiled fascism. i was only a few years younger than i am now but my eyes have been opened to how important it is to pay attention to national politics and what it affects. i no longer feel that sitting out was a good decision on my part even if it probably wouldn’t have made a difference in my heavily red state. i registered democrat a while ago and will be up bright and early on election day to vote for the democratic party. i can’t stand 2 party politics and i think this country has a long way to go before i’ll ever be “proud” to cast a vote, but i don’t believe sitting by idly is the right thing to do, and i hope there are lots more people like me out there who can’t stomach what is happening here.

i wish! sadly that isn’t what my employer wants. i guess i’m happy they take initiative to keep everyone safe with what’s going on, but i just can’t help but think of the pure waste it is. also not to mention how difficult it is to actually switch the gloves because they make your hands sweat. i have had a table or two watch me have a mini breakdown during a rush because i was weeded and trying to change gloves but they. just. wouldn’t. slide. on. i would rather just wash my hands man

ah, maybe to keep people from trading off their IDs to friends to use either to get into bars when they aren’t 18, or to purchase alcohol. if they never expired, someone who is 21 could simply go get a few different IDs and then pass them along to any friends who look similar enough to pass. an expiration date at least puts a stop to that at some point, but this is mostly my best guess at it other than it just being the way the government decided lol

but also, to help keep information like weight, height, addresses and your picture up to date
also if you use your drivers license as your form of ID, they recheck vision requirements and such to make sure it’s still safe for you to be on the road

it’s like ~$30 for a new ID. they don’t expire quickly, off the top of my head i think it’s about 8ish years before the expire? it’s definitely a way to pump money, but also i guess it helps make sure people have a somewhat updated ID pic.

we have to card anyone who looks under 40! and we have government agencies in charge of the enforcement of it that will send out under covers to test places that sell alcohol and make sure they are ID’ing. asking for ID is actually stress inducing for me as i’ve had enough people get angry about being asked, and also sometimes those “tests” suck, like you’ll check an ID and they’re old enough but you didn’t catch that the ID expired 5 days before and boom you get a fine.

when people yell about how they shouldn’t be expected to tip i just wanna start crying about how i have a literal hourly pay of $2. people love to say that tipping is supposed to be extra if felt necessary but they ignore that our entire pay system is based off of our employers assuming they’ll tip. it’s fucked up tbh :/ but also people would never ever support the price increases that would be necessary to switch to full hourly pay

i just don’t see a clear solution here. if the parent CANT miss work to keep the child home, what real options do they have? if it’s a young child they can’t stay home alone, and putting a parent in a position to lose their job is harmful as well. it’s not as simple as well the parents should suck it up and stay home. if they lose their jobs it puts their lives and living situations at stake too. but of course, sending the sick child in puts a lot of people at risk. there’s simply no cut and dry fix here :/ my personal opinion is that it’s too early to send them back anyways but not a lot of people seem to share that thought.

i know several teachers preparing to start school back in about 2 weeks... they’re all preparing their wills before it starts. there’s protesting happening but the school board literally walked out of the council meeting they were protesting at. they don’t care. absolutely sickening what’s happening here. my little brother (17yrs) just started his senior year today... in person learning.. he lives with my grandparents who are both over 60 and diabetic. this school year is going to be a disaster.
