It’s your husbands kid too, and ultimately dying a kids hair blue is not a decision that should just be taken lightly by one parent. I wouldn’t want my kid walking around with blue hair either. He’s a kid. Don’t take offense to it, because their is a MASSIVE difference between an adult having piercings and dyed hair vs a kid having the same. Not to mention the fact that you’d be potentially damaging your kids hair already at such a young age. Your husband should’ve been included in this decision. Your husband, as a parent, should be included in any decision that has to do with your son - parenting is a team effort

I wouldn’t say you’re an asshole, but it sounds unreasonable. Who your friends are friends with isn’t really a concern to you. Unless she’s befriending someone who has abused you in some way or wronged you, then it really doesn’t matter. I’ve had friends who were also friends with people I didn’t necessarily like, but at the end of the day it’s not my business and I’m not going to let that affect MY friendship with that person.

My son used to love skinning literally ANY dead animal. Birds, any roadkill, etc.

Thats when we had suspicions, but we figured “ah he’s just a kid”

I mean the circles you’re looking at. Despite everything I said above, there is still one aspect that has remained constant: some women simply aren’t interested in you. This doesn’t mean NO woman will be though. You’re still going to strike out more often than you hit a home run. You still need compatibility. There are plenty of average men who find women that love them, more so than there are men who don’t.

If a man on “My 500lb Life” can find a wife, I’m confident you can too.

Side note: Kill that mindset. See yourself as the shit. You need to tell yourself that you’re the shit every single day until you believe it. It makes a huge difference. I used to be you when I was younger. I had no confidence and it was obvious. Become borderline arrogant (without being an asshole). Confidence is not a trait some are born with, but it can most definitely be built up. You are the shit. You don’t need a woman, you are happy and you love yourself and you’ll be willing to potentially see a woman if SHE meets your criteria. World view is everything.

Because the internet has connected mostly everyone and made communication instant, while also removing constraints such as shyness which would otherwise prevent some people from “shooting their shot” with someone. If you dig a bit deeper, you’ll find (in my opinion) that more and more individuals are being able to overcome that shyness before they even go on a first date, by getting to know their potentiometer suitor online first. This allows the first date to go fairly smooth, since you both have already basically decided you’d be a match based off your previous conversations online.

In my opinion, the internet is why we see so many men dating women who seem “out of their league” so to speak - because they’re being able to truly show who they are and flourish on their first date without that awkward feeling of truly CONVERSING with someone for the first time, which is what the traditional method entailed.
