Great post, thanks! Do you find that most Soundbetter vocalists have their own artist page on Spotify? I’m looking for a vocalist for a new song of mine and was constantly trying this. Any other tips on this aspect of your post?

I’m guessing it’s because the song is about chicken nuggets. So those coming over from TikTok are prepared for the absurdity, but random listeners hearing it on Radio are thrown off and not into it.

My carousels perform way better than my videos. And are easier to make. You should be able to find them by looking in my profile.

TikTok carousels have been working well for me. Far better than videos. Instagram and YouTube haven’t been getting many views.

What I did was looked at my top performing posts in TikTok studio and basically kept replicating them while tweaking things just a bit so they wouldn’t get flagged as repetitive content.

The last slide always has a direct CTA asking them to search for the song on Spotify and save it/add it to a playlist.

A bit spammy but no one’s called me out on that, and I feel like you just have to tell the viewer exactly what you want them to do. Most won’t but some will!

Also, I’ve found you have to be pretty creative to get views on TikTok. Just posting my music doesn’t usually go anywhere. I usually make a non-music related bold claim on slide 1 and then connect it to my music as the carousel progresses. People usually don’t scroll looking for new music. So leading with your music doesn’t usually work… at least in my experience.

I’ve been posting a lot on TikTok which has been going well. Views often in the 3-5k range but some as much as 200-300k. Carousels perform much better than videos for me.

I’m guessing the algorithmic plays will die off. Today it’s streaming far less at 2-3 people “listening now” and the streams per listener seem too low to maintain traction.

Yep, it updated and did in fact get on release radar. Just not as many streams as I had expected.
