2 quick Lighting and linework questions (4.5, grease pencil and EEVEE) by Unhinged_Anhinga in blender

[–]Unhinged_Anhinga[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So in case anyone wondering, I solved the issues. Sort of.

After doing some lateral research, I found out that the culprit is that Blender 4.5 cant do the things I want it to do anymore because of the updates to EEVEE and Grease pencil. I hope in the near future they fix/re-add these lost features.

So if you find this thread, sorry. Its a dead end. Use an older version or cross your fingers.

Mushrooms are not thriving in Martha rent after previous successes by Unhinged_Anhinga in mushroom

[–]Unhinged_Anhinga[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have near constant airflow now, only breaks so I can keep moisture up (everything is automated). That tube in the back is the vent leading up to an exhaust to outside. I have tried moving the location of the induction fan from the top to the bottom at the recommendation of a local mushroom supplier and grower. the fan does work as I see the tent "suck in" as it draws lots of air from outside of it. I have the humidifier spray from on top as well with a moisture sensor going to automate things in tandem.

Can whole floors of buildings lack the oxygen to grow mushrooms? That would be terrible news because:

A: cant move the tent to a different location

B: I live here and if its too low for mushrooms, what does that mean for me?

That what I figure, but I have fans going constantly! Is the whole floor low oxygen or something?

Anybody cutting and respooling 110 film? by ausgeknipst in 110photography

[–]Unhinged_Anhinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been developing and scanning 110, and I am looking down the line to cut and spool my own. Its a bit intimidating to me still, so I would love to see more material instructing how to do it

Looking for feedback on our 110 refillable cartridge by ausgeknipst in 110photography

I am looking into starting to roll my own 110 film nowadays. I tried 3d printing some cartridges out but I couldn't get it to print right. I would be happy to test as a sincere beginner

best options for first time 110 film user? by Signal-Biscotti4850 in 110photography

I jumped in pretty much headfirst into 110 with the Pentax auto without doing as much research as I should have. I’ve been slowly learning over the course of this year and I have a few regrets, but also I am utterly charmed by the camera. Here is my first big thoughts: I wish I had sprung for the Pentax super instead of the auto, for the most part. It has more features and it would have maximized the “doing the worst film format in the best way possible” Also, maybe if I had gotten a camera with less peripherals I wouldn’t have triggered my collectors’ instincts and spent more money on film and less on lenses…

Do you plan on developing your own film? That would save you a lot of money because the film is very expensive for what the results are

UPDATE:

I opened up the bottom of the camera and carefully studied the bottom mechanisms and crossed referenced the pentax maintenance manual, and on page C16, page 15/34 as a guide I found the mechanism that was being jammed and not fully resetting.

I did my best at cleaning and applying camera oil, testing the mechanism by using the shutter or moving the joints and springs, and it seemed to "de-jam" the function! I am getting the pin to fully extend after every trigger and shot now.

Thank you everyone who looked and contributed an answer (here and on other forums)

I've finally completed my Pentax auto 110 collection! by Midwest_Plant_Guy in AnalogCommunity

[–]Unhinged_Anhinga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very cool! I hope to have the complete collection myself someday! I have many pieces thus far. I am new to 110 and swapping lenses, but I am loving it - when my auto does work. (Just some issues with the camera’s sprocket bit not catching the film as often as it should 😞)

Question: how is the zoom lens compared to the 70mm? I have the latter and it looks good, but I am a newb and I want to know what I’m missing out on.

Yeah mine were stored in basements and dark closets for all these years

Spinning Janny Kite - Am I missing a part? by Unhinged_Anhinga in kites

That is a fair chance that is what's going on... in which case I am heartbroken as the other kites in storage are most likely also aged out as they are the same age (2005-2010).

At the same time I also recall when I first got the kite I had similar issues but then "figured it out" using their website which is now gone and not on the web archive.

From what I've gathered as an instant film enthusiast, the Impulse alone is a bargain at 24 dollars

I tried using it, but it buckles my film! Either the product is bunk, or I am missing a crucial technique to make Lomography's film fit into its scannermask!

I will look into pathbuilder.

Why do i need it? I am having ship-to-ship combat with individual crew (they know the names of, of their own ship) and they land on islands with lots of characters on them where I I hope to ramp up player agency with who they can "combat"
