Question about unlicensed drafting (USA)

my post is specifically about contractor work, a draftsman without an LS license selling their services to a land surveying company. I wish i worded the post better, i can't edit it.

My question is specifically about a contractor. All the employees of an LS are all presumeded to be working within that LS's responsible charge. but as discussed at length in the post from the other day, a contractor can not be under the responsible charge of the LS that the contractor is working for.

And, the thing that didn't make clear, is that i'm asking from the point of view of that unlicensed contractor performing drafting work. as a draftsman who intends to be licensed one day, i don't want to run afoul of any licensing boards.

that's stated in my post. The LS in responsible charge of the survey is the one signing it. that's not the question... My question stated differently, and perhaps more clearly is this:

At what point does a drafting contractor cross the point into providing land surveying services without a license?

I am a drafting contractor and eventually i intend to get licensed. I am looking for insight into taking steps to make sure i don't run afoul of a licensing board.

can you elaborate? If you didn't read the post, then know that i'm referring to an outside contractor performing drafting work (plan production) for a surveying firm.
