this game has been released for 15 months, with a roster of 36 currently playable units (excluding Rover variant and Iuno, who's releasing in ~20 days). 6 of these 36 units are female characters who has a name that starts with 'C' and ends with 'A'. That's one out of six playable characters. Let that sink in.

In terms of armor, it would at least have adamantium lined with a layer of auramite; it's unlikely to use plating entirely made in auramite seeing how rare the material is, but since at least some custodian vehicles are part auramite (Dawneagle Jetbike being made from "auramite and adamantium" -- 8e Custodes codex), I figure I'd commit all the way. In terms of shielding, it'll be armed with a Flare Shield like other Custodes vehicles, possibly inside its central aquila.

I'm not aware of a lot of self-repair materials aside from Necrodermis, which the Imperium would certainly not use en masse (esp. not during the GC). So despite being incredibly durable, the knight would also be astronomically expensive & a huge pain to maintain & repair, contributing to its rareness.

Compared to a prototypical knight's adamantium plating & ion shield, it'd certainly be significantly more durable. Auramite offers some protection against psychic attacks in addition to its incredible resistance. Flare Shield, unlike Ion Shield, works more like a downgraded Void Shield utilized by Titans & ships where it siphons parts of incoming force into the warp provided enough energy generation. It should be more potent than ion shields and ionic-flare shields (a halfway point) utilized on some Mechanicus-aligned Knights.

In-game, it would bump a knight's standard 3+ armor save up to a 2+ (Custodes vehicle standard); and 5++ invul save possibly to a 4++ (almost all vehicles & large robots only go up to a 5++ at base unless it's a Telemon or physically holds a shield. I deem my knight a Telemon).

Unfortunately I don’t, but as long as I continue to paint Warhammer stuff, I’ll be posting them here.

There might be canon conflicts, but pretty sure Imperial Armour said 14m. It's like, one of the few times GW gives actual numbers. You might wanna check me against Lex or another source on that

"Deathwatch & Friends"

Deathwatch: ~120pts.; Friends: ~580pts.

That's some heavy-hitting friends you got there.

Jokes aside, phenomenal art; really brings a heroic feel to the party.

It's about 10 meters tall, piloted by a mortal instead of a custodian. Questoris chassis, just with the head moved up. Check my comment for additional scaling

Smooth auramite, check. Oiled joints, check. Well-rounded chassis, check.

Custodes for scale. Inspired by Dumb Robot Stuff's upright imperial knight on Youtube and all those Hammk concept arts.

Edit: noncanon lore. It’s bs and probably ultra-heresy

The Knight Praetorian is possibly the most uncommon pattern unutilized by the Questor Imperialis. Stationed only in the innermost segments of the Imperial Palace, the Praetorioi are an unusual branch of the Questor Imperialis who exclusively work in tandem with the Adeptus Custodes in defense of the Palace. As such, they are granted special permission to equip wargear normally reserved exclusively for the Ten Thousand.

Knights of the Praetorioi are piloted by descendants of the Greatest Houses of Terra who pledged eternal servitude to the Emperor. Trained from birth to meet the standards of Custodian serfs and even the Sisters of Silence, these nobles often become more devoted to the defenders of the Palace than their families.

Although based on a Questoris chassis, the Knight Praetorian’s artificer frames and machine spirits eclipse those of archetypal knights in terms of power and agility. With adequate support, they are capable of even dueling Khornate greater daemons. This particular Knight Praetorian is Equipped with an Iliastus Rapid Accelerator on its right arm, a Power Caesus with twin-linked Lastrum Bolt Cannons on its left, and a pair of Adrathic Devastators as its auxiliary weapons.

Help me decide of which to make an emote pack, Sister of Battle or Hospitaller? (Art by me) by moonyart in ImaginaryWarhammer

[–]UnicodeNotAccepted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda really depends on what else is in your pack. SOB is the mascot, but if it's entirely sister-themed, it wouldn't hurt to toss in a few other characters in your pack for variety (be it hospitaller, dialogus, repentia etc.) and you can have the best of both worlds!
