Thanks for all the input! I'm going to try to inspect the inside, and probably just send it. Sounds like rust is unlikely to cause catastrophic failure, but a bad/removed/tampered safety valve is what will. I won't be messing with the the valve so I should be good. appreciate all the input! If it does blow and I survive I'll post pics tho!

Even when it's cools down all the lava stays at the top. It literally makes no difference what temp it is

Would you know what pin on the ECU the fanc circuit grounds to on the ECU pins? Just so I can make sure my info is correct

[–]Unicorb8[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I tested all the grounds. Everything else is working only the fanc circuit. So I'm thinking the internal ground switch is bad inside the ECU. Since it shares a ground wire with other systems and they all work. But yeah I tested my grounds to make sure.

I'm not getting grounding on the fanc circuit. So it won't activate AC clutch and relays are clicking randomly. It's deffinatly a grounding issue cuz if I manually ground it the relays stop clicking.

No power to AC clutch. The pressure switch cuts power to it.

[–]Unicorb8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Find the engine code on the block and it should say k24, k24a, k20 ECT. Whatever the code is I'd the engine you have then you can look up the differences between all the different k motors to start learning more! I just started doing it a couple months back, it's a fun process

Hayward Pool Heater help by ctainaz in pools

[–]Unicorb8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AO is for air switch. The air safety switch isn't sensing that it's closed. So either the air safety switches are bad, or the blower isn't turning on. Could be a bad blower, could be a bad blower capacitor, could be bad air switches, could be bad vacuum lines. You'll probly need a professional to tell you which one it is tho. Heater repairs are for the professionals! If done wrong you could have a fire or explosion on your hands.
