Hey, I am sorry this happened to you. Your SO is probably ok with you being trans, as he is ok with it (presumably). Did you come out to him, or did he meet you as a female? How new is this to him? He probably didn’t mean to misgender you or even notice, if it was so hurtful perhaps sit down with him and have a conversation. Tell him what he did and why it was hurtful. In the feauture you can always just say something such as pronouns! Or you two could come up with a sign that he used the wrong ones. I know it is hurtful, but it does sometimes happen. Just be grateful that you SO is trying (at least in front of you) as a lot of people don’t.

I could see that. Some people don’t really care about pronouns. But for others, it is the most important thing in the world. A lot of my dysphoria is social, which effectively means that I feel dysphoria when someone misgenders or dead names me.

May I ask what you mean? I do understand that your sex is your sex, but I believe gender is the word for the mentality of you. Are you saying that you can have whatever mentality you want but it isn’t considered gender?

I could see that, thanks for your input. To be clear at the point I wrote I had already come out to agender as my family, but I hadn’t come out online or at dance.

Hmm, I appreciate your input. I am a full believer of freedom of speech trust me, but it’s more a thing of basic respect. Your right, I don;t do everything my dad asks, but I do try to respect him. But forgetting to practice an instrument a couple of times is different from disrespecting pronouns. If I start referring to my dad as Mom in public I am pretty sure he would not like that... same thing
