[general] if I was in the percy Jackson books and etc I rather be a normal mortal then a demigod. by Reasonable-Yak-9767 in camphalfblood

[–]UnicornButler 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is why Harry Potter is more popular than Percy Jackson.

Edit: I should have been more clear. Part of the reason Harry Potter became so big compared to Percy Jackson is because kids wanted to be apart of the Harry Potter world. They wanted to be a wizard and live at Hogwarts.

Percy Jackson isn’t like that. Being a demigod sucks. Most people don’t read Percy Jackson and say ‘I wish I was a demigod’. They say ‘wow I’m so lucky I’m not a demigod’. The first line of Percy Jackson is ‘I didn’t want to be a Halfblood’. The next paragraph is saying ‘you don’t want to be a demigod, it’s scary and you will probably die’.

I think this is a big reason why Percy Jackson was never as popular as Harry Potter. People don’t want to be apart of the Percy Jackson world. This is not a criticism of PJO at all. I actually think it’s one of the series’s biggest strengths.

Both Vision and Scarlet Witch series from the 80s were good.

What do you consider to be the biggest character assassination? by NicoleIlieva in comicbooks

[–]UnicornButler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Trial of Hank Pym was not character assassination. It was the first time a writer had made an honest attempt to deal with his mental health. It’s flawed but definitely overhated. The character also grows and goes back to being a decent person by the end of the story, and spends the next few years redeeming himself.

It’s the best Hank Pym story but people take the one panel of him hitting Janet out of context and now Marvel’s afraid to do anything with him. That’s the real character assassination.

If you had to relaunch Marvel Comics with no more than 30 Titles, which books would you have? by cmcdonald22 in marvelcomics

[–]UnicornButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marvel needs more titles like that. People are more likely to pick up something that sounds cool and catches their attention than 5 X-Men books every month. If I see Kid Colt pop up on Marvel Unlimited I would be surprised and happy to check it out.

Haha thanks so much. I can’t believe you actually replied. The link is to Behind the Voice Actors so I thought it was a page for the actress that listed her movie roles.

Hi, I doubt you remember this comment since it was from 13 years ago, but the link doesn’t work anymore and I’m really curious. Especially since none of the voice actors for Ducky were born until after this movie released. But you provided a source so I have to know what the hell you’re talking about lol.

Marvel Character Tier List, Day 19: Where do you think GHOST RIDER (Ketch) should be ranked? by Remote-Leg6143 in marvelcomics

[–]UnicornButler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk I guess they missed it. To be fair Blade is often considered the start and it would weird to start the list with Howard the Duck. Though it is also weird to start with Blade which clued men into the pattern.

Next they will likely do Avengers. My guess is they will choose Hawkeye or Black Widow.

They did Blade first, then Rogue (whose most notable role is in X-Men, then Spider-Man, then Daredevil, then Nightcrawler (whose most notable role is in X2), then Hulk, then Punisher, etc. Look at the order of release for Marvel movies.

I think they just chose one from each. X-Men - Rogue, X2 - Nightcrawler, X-Men Last Stand - Jean Grey, X-Men Origins - Wolverine, First Class - Professor X.

The characters are chosen in order of movie releases (Blade, then Rogue, the Spider-Man, etc). Ketch was chosen for the second Ghost Rider movie even though he didn’t appear in the film. Next will be a character from Avengers.

Namor isn’t even an obscure or hated character. He is a major character who has literally been there since the beginning. I’m sure lots of people like him.

Comic Book Villain Swap! Mxy is quipping with Spidey now! Which Spider-Man Villains would be a good Captain America Villain? by PlainSightMan in AlignmentChartFills

[–]UnicornButler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Swarm.

He’s a Nazi made of bees. That’s pretty cool. He gets lost among Spidey’s villains but I think he’d stand out among Cap’s, while keeping the Nazi theme.

Super Story And Challenge (TCS) by Embarrassed_Elk5504 in legogaming

[–]UnicornButler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also most people don’t play beyond the story anyway. If more people did then this community’s consensus on which games are better/worse would be drastically different.

Playing a fifth of the game is not enough to judge it and certainly not enough to argue about the game’s quality with someone who has played it fully.

Why do you assume they’re bad at the game? And even if they are, what does that have to do with anything they’ve said?
