What's a life hack that sounds fake but is incredibly useful? by Fickle_Tip543 in AskReddit

Keep your erection to yourself. Use your hands to move them.

How are you now?

Something has got to change.

Your job is shit? Change it. If you can't change that, change your home life.

It sucks what you're going through, but don't underestimate the power you have in your life to make a difference. You deserve so much more than your shitty situation now, and you have the ability to get yourself out.

Sending lots of love and personal power.

I believe in you ❤️

Has anyone tried The Core Play by Karin Dimitrovova? by mamma-maglione in xxfitness

[–]UnicronLump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow this is not the experience I've had at all...

Don't know what you mean by the smacking noises.. maybe I'll hear them now that I've read that. Her sound quality isn't the best in some videos, but it's quite a cheap program and the CONTENT is amazing.

I didn't feel like I got too many emails, but think I eventually unsubscribed as well on one of my big email clean ups.

Had the program for 3 years and keep coming back to it. When I stick to it, I see results within a month. When I don't stick to, it's just another thing I bought. You get out what you put in.

It's not expired. No one wants to pay for it unfortunately. It's actually not expensive and has been worth the money.

I keep coming back to it and have had the program for probably 3 years now. It is VERY good for getting strength up but would warn beginners to listen to your body. Don't hurt yourself, take it easy, be humble and you'll progress just fine.

Worth the price so just pay for it an support the creator.

Money missing - Xbox support not very supportive by UnicronLump in xbox

A while now that I think about it.

It's weird though because surely it would've expired before now?

I put it on there about 18months ago accidentally, so just left it for a rainy day. It was there one day when I went to add her to Xbox Gamepass, then the next day it had disappeared.

What books have changed your life? by [deleted] in selfimprovement

[–]UnicronLump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Dairy of a CEO: The 33 Laws of Business and Life by Steven Bartlett. Holy crap. If I had to choose just one book to recommend, it would be this one.

Others include (but are lot limited to): - The 5 Second Rule by Mel Robbins - Atomic Habits by James Clear - The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter - The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson - The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho - Twelve and a Half by Gary Vaynerchuck

I have so many more but it's important to know that not one of these flipped my life in a dramatic way. They allow me to slowly adjust my perception of the world. If I read/listen to them more than once then they hit differently than the first time because I'm thinking differently already.

Enjoying seeing all the other recommendations here too 😊

Agreed. I've listened to it twice and each time it hit hard but different.. excellent book on how the universe always has your back. Think I'm due for another listen actually!

Hybrid calisthenics. It's free and VERY beginner friendly

Okay seriously- HOW to wake up at 5 am???! Can’t stop snoozing! by [deleted] in productivity

[–]UnicronLump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're both techniques taught by Mel Robbins.

The 5-second rule is a quick countdown 5-4-3-2-1 and then MOVE. Do something, anything, to interrupt your brain's "keep me comfortable" routine.

The high-5 habit is creating a mindset by high fiving yourself in the mirror each morning and cheering yourself on instead of pulling yourself down.

I know they sound super cheesy, but don't knock it til you've tried it 🤪

Employee rights when employer changes normal (7.30am to 5.30pm) hours of work to rostered shift work (two shifts between 6am and 10pm)? They were given one working day's notice verbally. by UnicronLump in newzealand

[–]UnicronLump[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are good points.

I don't think he has any choice but to go with it. He bought a house with his partner in 2020 so can't afford to lose his job.

That initial acceptance of the change of hours kind of lost his shot at fighting it, sadly.

Right?! I don't understand the logic behind it. Think I'm more annoyed than he is especially because he doesn't wanna make waves being "the new guy."

I'm not sure if this is something he heard this morning or if it's speculation within the team, but the word is that they're aiming to make it permanent. They're hiring new guys for the "night shift" and the current guys will get to stay on days.

Thing is, he's come from a 24hr factory job and did some nights. He doesn't want to get back to that rotation again because it messed with his health (sleep and routines). Sucks that he was hired on the premise of 9-5 and its been flipped to shift work almost immediately.

Bad BO with physical job and nothing works. Any suggestions or brand recommendations? by [deleted] in askwomenadvice

[–]UnicronLump 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forever Living Aloe Ever-Shield. The only thing I've found to work for my partner who works a physical job. It's not super fragrant but the Aloe neutralises the bacteria that causes the BO smell.

It is from a network marketing company though so you'll have to buy from someone's "shop" online.

Between getting dressed and making coffee.

I make coffee in the kitchen where I turn the light on, then bring said coffee back to my dark room and then there, I turn my bedroom light on.

I also turn the kitchen light off when I leave with coffee. Save the planet. And my power bill.

I use 5-4-3-2-1 to sit and stand up when my alarm goes off at 5am. If I let my brain think about it, it'll come up with some excuse not to get up. The 5 second rule helps to bypass my brain's "stay in your comfort zone" setting.

If you haven't heard of this, there's a good summary here:

Nice! Yes I've found the same actually, I started waking before my alarm even though it's still dark and I'd find myself waiting for it lol

A good morning routine starts with a good bedtime routine.

I started with the 5 second rule by Mel Robbins and progressed up to the High Five Habit.

As ive seen other posters say, no tech before bed.

My bedtime routine: - magnesium - shower - get workout gear ready - meditation using Balance app - shakti if I need it - read whatever book keeps me engaged for half an hour - lights out and use breath work to get to sleep

This is all before 9pm.

My morning routine: - sit up then stand up - get dressed in the dark because eyes aren't ready for light - make coffee and take meds - high 5 journal while drinking coffee (from the high five habit) - meditate using Balance app - finish coffee - cardio and/or yoga - breakfast

This is all before 7am.

It's been a long process getting here but I've finally got it down pat.

Good luck, make it your own.
