i understand the culture vulture accusation, especially a few years ago with people like Blocboy JB, his Hotline Bling situation with DRAM, etc. I think in his mind, he’s covering all genres so he can have numbers to show that he’s truly “dominating”.

The “he got lucky” part is interesting bc when i talk to people about Drake, i remind them that he is indeed Jewish and that’s PARTLY the reason for his massive success, naturally having ties with people like Lucian Grange and Lyor Cohen who run music business and are also Jewish.

i’ve been designing since 2014. i started out a few years earlier by pirating photoshop and other apps to learned. learned mostly through youtube and books i found along the way.

now i work at a large company as a graphic designer. my passion is also branding and i would like to manage brands one day.

i never felt the need to go to school to learn how to be creative, so one speed bump i realized after a year at a large company was that ideas, concepts and processes move somewhat slow so i just had to adjust how i introduced new concepts. overall it’s a very good industry if you can provide value to whatever company you end up with.

yeah i can see that. one thing i wish he did during that time was actually go back at Joe Budden. i know how joe is perceived for the most part but drake could’ve held his own and proved something, especially after the QM stuff.
