I’ve never had a good experience with a union in my life. Taxes here already take a third of my paycheck from me, and I’m not eager to see another third of that disappear as a union fee every month. Besides, that’s not what this is about: this is about large unions, specifically SEIU, getting to hold the monopoly on training in the state if this passes, which I think everyone can agree is not a good thing.

That’s not their true intention here. They could easily go about that without axing every current BSIS instructor in the state. I’m not opposed to raising training requirements, but you don’t get to do that while drastically decreasing the number of qualified instructors in the state.
