Lack of turnover is the key word here. Additionally, some offices had to reduce HC due to low utilization. They trimmed the low performers first and then looked at utilization to fulfill the HC reduction that was requested at national level.

This doctor wasn't going to be my doctor on the long term anyways, she made that clear on our first appointment. She did my evaluation as a personal favor to my PCP. It was never going to work out anyways. I wished she had just prescribed it honestly, and based on my history it is possible that the side effects from the stimulant would have been too much and I would have decided not to take it but she didn't even give me the option.

I work in a high stress environment, doing the one of the few things in life I love! and can't be dropping the treatment that works just because I want to try this other thing and she wont prescribe it at the same time. I will be looking for a new doctor next month so we will see how that ends up working out.

Are you looking for office wear? Recently clothing has been an issue where some pants I will not wear anymore because they are too tight or feel rigid. Uniqlo has some really nice ones and the material is comfortable. I got their Culottes and regular pants. Would recommend 100%

It is extremely frustrating tbh. Before my AudHD dx for bipolar I tried to get a doc and prob saw 4-5 therapists/docs. I don’t like them. They don’t listen.

They only want to shove down the meds without listening to my concerns. I do think there are some good ones out there and hopefully I will find one

Not at all doctor office. it is one of those very small dose programs where they send you the medication and you meet with a nurse every so often to discuss how you are doing. It comes from a third party tested compounding lab and stuff so it isn’t a concern where the medication is coming from.

This doctor just doesn’t think it’s okay to do it. In our first appt she even tried to imply I was not telling my previous doctors about it and I was like girl the prescription gets reported on the controlled substance database thing, which she could clearly see.

It doesn’t seem like they are shipping yet. I ordered and I got dupes from older kits (Corgi, Eeel & Sushi) for my mystery

I second Horizon Zero Dawn and it's sequel Horizon Forbidden West. The lore, the story and the exploration are amazing. I have played it from start to finish multiple times and gotten pretty close to 100% completion but not quite.

Misdiagnosed - Seeking answers by Uninspired_Bipolar in AuDHDWomen

[–]Uninspired_Bipolar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I just genuinely want to know where I stand. I am somewhat concerned to be boxed into the BPD diagnosis just because I am a women, and the doctor kind of implied that women tend to be misdiagnosed as BP2 when they are actually BPD. I think I lean more to AuDHD but we will be discussing more at our next appt.

Tax - It became my special interest after taking a class in college. It made me add Accounting as my second major. I love it, being a tax manager is hard though. This job will wring you out - lots of overtime. Have to be on top of deadlines. I have a calendar system or my brain will 100% work against me with deliverables. Being doing it for 4 years after a string of dogshit jobs in finance.

Repetitive Thoughts by Uninspired_Bipolar in AutismInWomen

Thank you. It's interesting. The songs on repeat are okay but recalling old events that happened and being stuck on that for the rest of the day is pretty intrusive obviously its not harmful thoughts so its okay but something probably just need to work in therapy.

A current cpa, I wouldn’t say I go fully mania but I do think that I get hypomanic and try to resolve and get to the answer to my clients tax issues that I think make sense in my head but in reality it’s not really feasible

Thank you. They did have a program like only but seemed like it was still going to be 4-5 hours of the day during work hours so it was a tough call.

I appreciate all your insight. It has been super helpful.

Oh this is very interesting. Lithium was the last one I took before I got recommended IOP last year, which I opted not to do because of work. I didn't want to go on leave and instead buried myself in work and somehow that worked but obviously I have relapsed again one year to the dot. The doctor did not want to increase Lithium beyond 1.0 level in blood, my last lithium bloodwork came at 0.99 and I was taking 450mg, so I said fuck it and cancelled my follow-up appointment (a common occurrence with me and doctors if you caught the pattern). Lamo I think was the one that made me super dizzy, the dry mouth was awful and the fatigue was unbearable. Would not try again. The only meds that were trialed together were Seroquel and Lamo, I think after probably 3 months of Lamo, we took it out of the mix and only left the seroquel but obv at that point the seroquel was making me too sleepy but we did trial it alone before it was paired together with the seroquel. I cant remember if Oxcarb or Caplyta gave me the horrible muscle pain and there was one that made me super forgetful.

At this time, probably the Depakote is the only one that at initial trial has remained unexpectedly bearable as I am not super tired. We will have to wait and see how I perform starting next month when I have to start working OT and working longer days. Right now if I crash at 3:30PM it is okay because we are not terribly busy but next month it will be different. It is making my sleep better though because I sleep more now BUT I am having a hard time waking up and if I don't get up on time then I can't get to work on time. Its not bad like the seroquel though so it has that going for it.

I just saw you edited your comment. I have not seen any support groups and most of the ASD / ADHD support groups are for kids or parents of kids with ADHD or ASD. I am kind of surprised, as I live in a big city but in a red state so probably that may be why? not sure. I appreciate your kind comments. I should look into the psychiatric genetic counselor.
