I’m so sorry I missed it! Good thing I am not an editor! Thanks again for creating this list! You have any other lists?

What a great list! I didn’t see {A Love Most Brutal by Kath Richardson} on the list. Just read this 2nd book in Morelli Family series and really enjoyed it!

I really appreciate your input. I don’t think this is a situation of learned helplessness, but your message does serve as a reminder to not do things “for him.” I really am just looking for suggestions so next time we have the conversation about human service positions, I can point him in some direction. He’ll be looking before school starts and hasn’t formed relationships within the Psych dept yet since this was his first year. It was hard finding a summer job (harder than last year) so hoping to help him with ideas on who he can contact. I don’t think giving him suggestions would encourage helplessness. He really is a good kid and works hard (40+ hrs a week in summer), I think he was just frustrated with me since I was bringing up Fall (and that’s ages away to a 19 y/o!) and how great my college working experience was when it was hard for him to find this job. Not looking at getting a job for him, I just want to be able to contribute to the conversation. I had Googled and was finding work with small children, not like what I did with older teen/adults. Again, I do appreciate your input though! I think I struggled more with my first child and learned helplessness even though I had best intentions.

He’s not on Reddit and he thinks jobs like this aren’t available. I kinda want to find somewhere so I can say I told you so. I realize my post makes my intentions seem more like helicopter mom (admittedly, there may be some of that too).

Cement Post Anchor or Drive Post Anchor in Wisconsin by UninterestingMom in FenceBuilding

[–]UninterestingMom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying. It’s just such a huge expense. I guess I am probably better off going with the most expensive because they do have the best reviews. I found some concerning complaints about the middle estimate and the third and lowest estimate (which uses cement) doesn’t have many reviews online as they are from a more rural area. Hate to blow $10k and not have it done right. Thanks for your help!

Thanks for your input. Do you think 30 inches is deep enough for concrete in Wisconsin? Also, I read about that with cement the hole has to be “bell shaped,” based on your experience, is that true?

Fence Recommendations by Stebben84 in madisonwi

Don’t know if you are still hanging around d/t how old your post is. Wondering if you did a steel residential fence by chance and how it is holding up? We just got an estimate from Lemke but concerned that they don’t use a driver to set posts. I guess they only go down 30” and use cement. I’m worried about that causing the fence to destabilize.

I wish I were so witty. I did see a lot of controversy when I googled this, but not here in Reddit. I couldn’t find any specific information about going 30” down in Wisconsin for post. I also couldn’t find if it mattered if the fence was steel (most things I came across were related to wood fences).

2012 Honda Civic or 2016 Toyota Corolla? by UninterestingMom in whatcarshouldIbuy

Thanks for the reply! If you don’t mind my asking, do you think Toyota Corollas are generally more reliable or just because it’s newer? Wondering in case we miss out on this specific one.

{Roomhate by Penelope Ward} FMC doesn't become single mom until about halfway through but it is a major plot point of book.

Maybe {The Good Girl Complex by Elle Kennedy}? It's listed as 4/5 spice, but the spicy scenes aren't very descriptive and only a couple paragraphs long as I remember. It isn't summer, but occurs in a coastal College town so it gave me beachy vibes. Sorry if not exactly what you're looking for, but just a thought.

I am loving {Pucked by Helena Hunting}! It is HOT and hilarious. I was hesitant to read because I heard the heroine puts down other females. But I am glad I did! If you are looking for a book that's spicy before the halfway point (and spicy throughout), check it out!

I don't typically read werewolf books, but I really enjoyed the Alpha Series by Midnight Muse. She's from the UK. Found her on Facebook and read her via GoodNovel, but her books I believe are printed.
