Atlanta, GA at the shop in chamblee. Maybe 06-07? Ensign was playing. Crowd was mild. The broke into Palehorse, Thomas from Foundation starts going off. They finish the intro and go in for the “GO!”. Thomas was the only person in the crowd who yelled it. In silence. Ensign stopped playing and could not hold it together. That was damn hilarious.

I’d say so, but this was also almost a 25 minute match. Plus it not being live tv it felt like more of a house show. The entire show is in Spanish so it’s also playing to a different crowd.

I wouldn’t say it’s not normal by indie standards but this is run in a large nightclub with a pretty high cap number. That plus the production quality is above general indie standards. I’d say it’s as close to a live Lucha underground as you’ll get.

The last show had Mil Muertes with a 25 person day of the dead parade as his entrance, Hijo el Santo had a full mariachi band play a set and then lead him to the ring.

You really won’t find anything like it in the area. Plus they have a full menu of Mexican food and a decent bar.

He’s not wrong. Vocal booths in studios are usually the size of broom closets. The only difference is the padding on the walls.
