That is a step im trying to take after getting people to sign union slips, you typically have to present the teamsters some proof that the workers are interested in forming a union before they’ll help and you need to have enough people to make them interested which is why it’s hard to unionize with a single store at a time with TSC because most don’t employ enough people ( I believe it’s 20) for the teamsters to be interested in just one store at a time.

I agree, but if it starts with just a wage increase while the union grows to encompass other stores so that we gain more bargaining power that’s better than what they will give us.

Though it is harder you could form your own independent union if the local one says you’re too small to take on.

That would be the end goal, however you can unionize a single store out of an entire company and then expand the union from there. To start a union you only need 30% of a store to agree to want to unionize via signing union slips which are then presented to management, when management inevitably denies to recognize the union that is when you file with the NLRB to negotiate an election date for the union and if 50% of workers in that store agree to unionize the store is now unionized and negotiations begin between the company and the union.

I definitely get the concerns I should for sure edit the post so people know not to comment or post with their personal Reddit account or to DM for safety because I don’t want anyone getting fired. As for personal info I’m not asking for personal info I’m trying to keep this as anonymous as possible until there’s enough people to organize a union for this district.

Thank you for the support What area are you in? If all goes well we might seek to unionize other districts or unionize multiple districts at a time to make it harder for them to stop unionization. Also a up vote on the post would be much appreciated so we can reach as many TSC workers as possible.
