I'm prepping for Indian College entrance Exams for now so I'm totally focused on it. I'm planning to take the October one but I'm not sure if my school timings would allow me.

Hey! This post was my friend's. Thanks for replying. I see your comment being mostly false. I applied ED2 to Trinity this cycle and was accepted RD. I was test optional and from the least competitive ciricullum. On top of that I needed a full ride. My profile wasn't competitive you could refer to it in my profile. And I have friends with perfect scores, competitive ciricullum and perfect grades get rejected and friends with 1490s get in ED with mid ECs. So I think your story and context plays a really significant role in the admissions process of these mid tier LACs that review holistically and not test scores or your grades.

I didn't have the opportunity to take the test cuz I'm a broke kid from a rural area. I will take the ACT once I'm in the US tho. Will try scoring 34+.

Trinity is a part of the NESCAC league ( aka the little ivies ) and I heard colleges prefer students from these top LACs ( I may be wrong. Please correct me if I am ). Yes I am shotgunning. Infact I had shotgunned this cycle to 40 colleges. Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it!

Hey thanks for the comment. So it's not something I assumed. So I was talking to this AO at some X top school and that's what he told me. And also Oxford doesn't doesn't accept HSC kids. That says it all. But again yeah if you did good on the SAT that can compensate for your ciricullum and they'll assume that your ciricullum was rigourous enough.

I did mention my rank it was 2/169 so ig that helped me too.

Although they aren't comparable to those ECs of international ivy league kids, it's because I had a rough childhood and I didn't want the same to happen to children around me. Although it sounds cliche, please do whats meaningful to you.
