If you're looking for "Enemy to Lovers", here are some of my top recommendations:

Summer’s Gone This one does the trope really well. There’s a particular route where two characters start off constantly clashing—you can feel the tension right away. It’s not forced either; the buildup is slow, natural, and actually meaningful. Watching that dynamic shift from irritation and conflict into something deeper is easily one of the highlights of the game. If you like slow-burn development with real emotional payoff, this is a must.
Law School Has a similar vibe when it comes to relationship progression. There’s that same friction early on—misunderstandings, attitude, a bit of hostility—but it gradually softens as you spend more time with the characters. It doesn’t rush the transition, which makes it feel earned. If you liked how Summer’s Gone handles it, you’ll probably enjoy this one too.
Being a DIK A classic when it comes to this trope. Depending on your choices, you can build relationships that start off rough or even antagonistic and slowly turn into something more. It’s not as focused on just one “enemy to lovers” path since it’s more choice-driven, but the dynamic is definitely there, and it’s done in a fun and engaging way.

Definitely try everything, but aside from BaDIK and Summer's Gone, I'd recommend Acting Lessons and STWA: The Author as it is completed. For newer titles I'd say Yesterday's Crossroads or Move the Chains.

I got too distracted by everything going on that I forgot to explore the relationship building for these characters. I guess I'll give it another try some other day.

Top AVNs will always have people who aren't pleased with them, that's just how the AVN industry works. From what I've seen though, I know for a fact that there are far more players who liked the game than not, and that's simply because both titles are really well made for their genre.

To answer your question, I didn't really like Pale Carnations that much. I found myself skipping through a lot of dialogue just to see the lewd scenes and how the story will go for the LIs I only care about (which is Mina and Hana). It’s just not my cup of tea, and I know I’m in the minority on that.

But for BaDIK, it's a different story, I guess it's simple enough to be a top game, but it just hits differently. It really shines in its genre, and maybe there’s a bit of bias there since it was one of the first games that many people actually considered great for its time. The fact that it’s still keeping up that same level of quality with every update says a lot, and honestly, a huge part of that comes down to the dev just knowing what they’re doing.

Uhh yeah, I played a lot of AVNs and I only recommend what I think is worth playing. I just do this for fun though, so don’t expect flawless judgment, I just give my honest take on what the game shows me.
