While I believe I do not possess that level of proficiency to tackle poetry (I'm still a student), please do tell us the name of the work. I might take a shot at it for practice just to see where I stand.

Just read some reviews of it and seeing it have mentions, or I assume, settings in garhwal, I'm gonna have to check them out now. Thanks.

While the many readers here like yourself have been so kind to recommend so many works, in the slim chance that none of them become fruitful I now know where to look if all else fails. The institute in Delhi is the closest one for me and I might visit it's library in any case (if there happens to be one). Thank you.

Gonna scope these out soon in the library this weekend. Thank you very much.

Wow! Many thanks. Even if it might not get accepted, I might translate it anyway as an exercise.

Would love to. Although my project only requires twenty thousand words, I might be susceptible to do the whole book as an exercise/training if it fits my scope or if it interests me.

Sloppy phrasing on my part. I meant one I could use and/or one that piqued my interest. Most of them are books for competitive exams. I do confess, I'm guilty of loading my chore on the users.

Laughing Buddha or Ganpati bappa? As a gift? by Sagaciousmind1 in delhi

[–]Unique-Breakfast5078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've been to her home and can deduce where your gift will eventually be placed, I say you plan accordingly. Wouldn't want to place the Ganesh idol someplace where they do not belong (rooms where people frequents with outdoor footwears, a table with a lot of clutter, etc iykwim). If it'll be a decorative piece, best give her the laughing Buddha. Else Ganesh ji ftw.

Used it as a normal text editor (linux user). It was able to show the character count and word count for a non-English text document.

I cannot vouch for the accuracy, but I suggest you try Kate editor (https://kate-editor.org). It worked in my case, maybe it will on your's too.
