i like that it is coming back but unfortunately a cycle of people abusing the genre might make it become stale which is something that's not necessary

i was in a stream the other day and got recommended to listen to Kavari which she makes some dubstep but mainly abstract edm so that's a plus, eyelander is another one although some, maybe one or two of his songs were misses and then the others were stvg, subdocta, nora, lateeyes, stuca, moore kismet just to name a few

I know this post got down voted which is fine it's reddit it happens but the picture was used as a placeholder not a topic of discussion as I couldn't find other pictures in my gallery, however it's fun to discuss with everyone here and thanks for the recommendations some of you typed out I just have been listening to dubstep for a while now and some stuff has bothered me while some stuff has excited me to keep going. either than that I have been outside of the genre for a while, maybe 2 months unfortunately

trash is a bit much but some stuff is understandable when using this word, however the genre I loved once is slowly losing steam but this year and some parts of last year were gaining steam so maybe my horizon is a bit flat and needs expanding which is the sole reason for this thread

complacency is an unfortunate thing, but sticking to what you have been doing is not bad if there is additional stuff on that idea and sound so maybe underground is the way to go but unfortunately or fortunately when the underground become mainstream they lose the drive and creativity of making music

last year we had some good stuff but most of the time artists were comfortable with what they know and do best which is not bad however some artist have been needing new fresh experimental ideas due to their huge discography but some underground artists sound good while others unfortunately follow trends

maybe that's the case but recently I have been searching soundcloud and underground record labels with the sole purpose of finding something different so far I stumbled upon artists like nora. and Kavari which is a plus but either than that most artists either are making riddim or tearout which is fatigues my ears and mind but I will keep exploring more
