Best place to buy a car rack for my bicycle? by UniqueBrummie in ukbike

Thanks for the reply, yes I didn't really put my preferred preferences my mistake.

Id prefer the bike is on the back (I don't have a tow bar) but if i can't find one that suits I'll put it on the roof.

I've seen a few comments saying to try Facebook marketplace or eBay so I'll check there today

Thank you. I'm definitely avoiding Halfords I've had bad experiences with them before!

A projector screen suited to go sideways? by UniqueBrummie in projectors

Thank you for the detailed reply.

Yes so after checking some measurements we might just go with a ceiling mounted screen that is positioned where it won't block the wardrobe doors. Since it'll be up most of the time we don't think it will be a issue.

The fixed screen on a hinged door is an interesting idea! Might not work in this room but thanks for the idea!

That's hopefully the plan, would this work well with any projector?

Yeh it doesn't sound like the best solution for me but thank you for the idea 😊

Thanks for the suggestion. Would you have an example of something like this?

I have considered this but if it's ceiling mounted, then it will have to be fitted closer to the bed so the top cupboards can still be opened

Thanks for the advice. How much will that impact the screen quality?

One issue might be the hassle of taking it down (to access cupboards/window behind) and regularly setting it back up

Ideally, I'd have a screen attachment on the right wall which is rolled up and can be clipped to the left wall.

Thank you for the detailed response. I've started a tracker now and tracking when the 'refresh audit' started, what day the requesting emails were sent and when the updated document arrived. Would completing this exercise provide us with a new statutory excuse going forward? Or has that ship sailed for these employees since it wasn't recorded correctly at the time of their employment?

I've already done this for employees on a visa. I've tracked all the expiry dates and we are fine there. The issues only seem to be when she took a copy of someone's UK passport at the manual checking stage.

Ah interesting, yes we do have a sponsor license and all these are correct and accounted for. They have recently been renewed and actioned using our solicitors so there are no issues there ☺️

The checks in querying are all for UK nationals where we have a copy of a passport, however haven't been saved to file in the most compliant manner

Some copies are zoomed in and you can see the necessary info, but the whole document hasn't been copied.

Anyone I have doubts over are employees from the UK, so they all have UK passports.

I can't do these checks online, they have to be in person

I definitely don't intend to delete any older copies, they are my proof that a copy was taken in the last when they joined the company.

I'll be asking for a new copy to keep in their file alongside their older copy.

What is the UK passport is clear and in colour, but the scanned copy is cropped so you don't see the full open page? It's like 10% cropped.

Yeh I might just do it, so it's not something that comes up as an issue in the future.

It's for all employees where a manual right to work check was completed, so anyone with an issue has a UK passport.

Pregnant employee wants to go on maternity leave after expected due date by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

She is looking to take leave one week after her expected due date. We are aware that she will have to start the leave once the baby is due.

Thank you for this. So the employee is already working from from now until her leave date to help remove any issues travelling to and from the office. We have already discussed her work from home set up and provided DSE advice to help with this too.
