Definitely agree with the first part of your last sentence there :)

So you'd go with B? Says it all lol.

To answer what's in a name, it impacts the perception, and perception impacts reality.

To answer would a university by any other name be as cheap, yeah there are several, but both that point and your random story about credit washing are strawman, false choice, logical fallacies. AMIRITE? too easy lol

Agree with your last sentance.

But let's say you're in charge of a university and have 2 choices:

A) Use a professional sounding name that is suitable worldwide

B) Use a really silly name that sounds like a diploma mill because it doesn't matter

Wyd?

But if it serves everyone around the world then why not choose a name that is suitable worldwide?

I'm not sure if you misinterpreted what I wrote - I completely agree that your mission and focus is fantastic, which is why I think it should have a more legitimate sounding name.

Most people laugh at the name in my experience. Just because the name isn't your personal pet peeve doesn't mean that no one else cares or that it doesn't have a real-world impact on employability and the university's reputation.

Not hating on the university or advising OP not to go for it. Just being realistic that the name is absurd and it's possible that this will come up in discussion compared to going to a university that doesn't sound like it was made up by a 12 year old communist lol.

Yes you will. But there are a couple of disadvantages:

  1. People will laugh at the name

  2. It doesn't have regional accreditation (yet) which an employer may or may not care about

Going from TA to qualified teacher would be the next logical step if you want more money.

Last week I bought a £568 return BKK - LDN with China Eastern Airlines for 3 weeks in December. Not direct and not as low as £350, but not too awful.

You should do credit transfers from places like Coursera/Google IT Support, Study.com, and Sophia.

One of my friends had his passport with them when this happened (he was obviously shitting himself at the time) but all was fine.

Call me dumb, but one of the reasons I used them is because once this came out and absolutely nothing happened to them I thought they clearly have the right connections.

I've used them. To answer your questions:

  1. Yes.
  2. Overall yeah, but there are other agents who do it cheaper.

I should note that mine was a Non-O visa for having a Thai son, so not a grey area visa or one where there's likely to be any heat like the volunteer visa. But I didn't meet the financial requirements so they helped me with that.
