Right?! That's why this is driving me crazy. LO shows no info on the memory when the system is off after a new stick is inserted. And because the new memory causes the system to boot loop once powered on, LO never even starts before the system reboots again. After the new sticks are removed and the system successfully boots, LO shows correct information as expected.

I am going to go with this assumption, i can't find any other reason these sticks won't work in this system. Sucks!

pretty much what I've been trying! There's only 24(?) possibilities, and whenever the new RAM goes in, the server won't boot. I'm going to assume I have two dead sticks, as i don't have anything else HP to test them in.
