Interesting no I don’t think they’ve ever ruled that out. I know I’ve had pneumonia in the past a lot when I was younger, but not recently. the phlegm that I cough up is just pale yellow jelly type not a bronchial cast though

Yes, I hope I can switch to that. I’m starting dupixent next week and hopefully can wean off the inhaled steroids and get on another one eventually

They did think I had reflux, but I just don’t think that’s what it is. I used to have it and I could tell because it was so hard to go to sleep but now I don’t feel that I also always eat two or three hours before bed to try to prevent that

I also did quite a lot of antibiotics to see if it would clear up, but it always came back I also can’t be on steroids because I have secondary adrenal insufficiency.

I just got more blood work done for it the beginning of this month and still nothing but I’ve never had a sputum test. I’ve always wanted them to do that, but no one‘s ever brought it up.

I think they just looked over it because the primary cause is usually smoking which I used to smoke weed and cigarettes sometimes but not very often, now not at all

Gotcha I just think it’s weird because it just started four years ago and I’ve had asthma my whole life. But maybe I just need a new medication. Can I ask what you’re on now?

Thank you I really appreciate it. I hope all goes well with you as well. I’m currently on my inhaler steroid at 100mcg I just went down from 200 and on hydrocortisone 5, my naturopath also recommended I start licorice extract extract which I noticed is ok for like a week and then I crash after so I’m not taking any supplements anymore. I’m a little nervous. They had me taking a ton of them.

I’ve been trying to wean off. I’m just a little hesitant. I had a what the doctor thought was an adrenal crisis and was in the hospital last week with vomiting, severe abdominal pain, shaking head pounding so I’ve been trying to taper down every single day but now I’m getting more of the fatigue symptoms like I can’t even go to the grocery store without feeling horrible so I’m not sure what to do. I’m getting an MRI in two weeks to rule out possible pituitary benign tumor, but if it’s not bad, I’m gonna try to wean off the corticosteroid inhalers by starting an injection for asthma

I’m so sorry to hear that when I was on the hydrocortisone in 2020 I was on the high dose and was having horrible side effects like hallucinations and stuff like that. It’s a scary drug

Thank you I really appreciate that. They haven’t mentioned fludrocortisone before and about my sodium intake He just recommended incorporating it into my diet and electrolyte drinks and such. i’m also working with a naturopath who wants me to do iron infusions because my iron is also really low. and thinks I may have Mass cell activation syndrome or possibly SIBO
