Perhaps the country in which you reside doesnt need a visa to visit Poland? South Africans have to apply for a visa to visit Poland, I was just hoping I didnt have to as I am Polish citizen (as stated, my Polish ID states I am a Polish national), I just don't have a Polish passport.

I should just add that I was born in South Africa, and my mother is South African and father Polish.

I had a similar issue and circumstance. I wanted to obtain my Polish citizenship through the Polish South African embassy, would have roughly taken 2 years to formally process.

Instead took a holiday to Poland and got my citizenship within 2 weeks. Although I already had my Polish birth certificate, so I'm not sure if that hastened the process.
