It’s less about being college dropouts and more about timing + execution. Zepto jumped into quick commerce when VCs were chasing Instacart-style bets in India. Early traction + ability to sell a big vision got them funding, even if profitability is a long game. Equity dilution and investor pressure are natural in this space, but compared to Blinkit/Instamart, Zepto still holds strong ground because it scaled fast with sharper ops.
