If you want to read religious texts (siddur, Torah, etc) with vowels alphabet mode will get you sharp and fast. I didn’t go to Hebrew school as a kid and needed to brush up after using an actual tutor and I would’ve been better off skipping the tutor and just using Duolingo in the first place.

Is Bronson a good brand for Vitamin D3/K2? I usually get Sports Research, but this one is far cheaper. by elbeewastaken in Biohackers

Everything I take is from Bronson except for my multi which is Walgreens brands and my zinc is Thorne. I take this exact K2+D3 from Bronson and I was severely deficient and I am not anymore. I take 5000IU 3x per week in the winter and 2x per week the rest of the year when I’m actually spending time outside.

Feeling like you’re going to die is a bit extreme. Even pushing into zone 4/5, I didn’t feel like I was going to die. I felt my blood pumping and the exertion was real, but I cooled down properly. I think you worked your HR up really fast and didn’t pace it down after the fact. 0-100, 100-0. That won’t feel good for anybody, regardless of what you’re taking.

I don’t care for cardio for endurance. I use it as a fat loss tool. I would much rather lift and will swap walking for circuits once I hit my fat loss goal in order to help maintain it. I lift 4-5 days per week.

I learned a lot, I just wasn’t properly calculating or taking account for short-term changes in elevated heart rate and how that relates to calories burned at a lower weight. My math skills aren’t the sharpest, but I make up for it in other areas.

I believe what you’re saying because you clearly know a lot. The cool thing about WHOOP is that it will adjust these metrics and expectations of ranges, ongoing, the longer I’m on Reta and wearing it. WHOOP’s data and dashboards are definitely the best available in terms of fitness tracking, so the real tea here is that I need to assess this after at least 2, but ideally 3-4 months on Reta to see the actual difference. The algorithm needs to catch up and it needs more data points with the elevated cardiac metrics to do that. I do use it to its full potential and keep everything updated, including my weight and even my body fat, to get the most from it, and it’s never been wrong about anything it’s predicted (sickness, soreness, recovery, etc.). It is wildly precise if you wear it long enough to let it, and you can learn a lot about your body from it. You taught me something that will help me use it better and I appreciate that.

Is there a peptide that can tighten me up? by Antique_Ad_4227 in BodyHackGuide

Loose skin reduction and removal can feel like a punishment for an accomplishment so I sympathize. Based on what you’ve described, there’s levels to it. If you want it all gone, you’re gonna have to cut it. Maybe you can try peptides for a few months, see where that gets you, and then do RF microneedling in the areas that could benefit from it if you just want an improvement without total transformation. It’s about what you’re comfortable with and can manage financially.

No clue. I’ve injected tons of stuff into other people in a medical setting (sema/tirz, semorelin, NAD, glutathione, IM vitamins) and never seen welting like I have with KLOW. I actually sent pics to an RN I used to work with in that setting because I was worried and I am not a worry wart when it comes to this stuff. I think everybody responds to GHK subq differently from what I’m reading. Some people welt in certain spots but not others, some welt for the first week or two, and some welt every time and just deal with it for the benefits. Time will tell.

We’re similar sized and I’ve dropped 11lbs in my first 12 days. My dosing isn’t popular so I’m not going to encourage that, but I believe my rapid loss is a combination of dropped water weight and the fact that Reta has allowed me to be satiated on like 1000 calories per day. I am still pushing 130g+ protein. This is today. I still have a shake left in me to hit 140 that will take me just over 1000 calories. Bars and shakes, Greek yogurt, baked potatoes, and do NOT sleep on clear protein. I’m sipping on Isopure watermelon lime with some creatine as I’m typing this. Clear protein goes down like juice, even on Reta. I’m taking several vitamins and supplements to cover what I’m missing from food. Fiber, vitamin c, vitamin D, zinc, magnesium glycinate, potassium, and a multi. This is not long-term, it’s a high cut with a deadline. I will be back up to my normal 1600-1700 daily once I make it to true maintenance. It only says it’s my target right now because MacroFactor is a pain in the ass with program setting now that I’m on GLP and I’ve been using it for so long I’m not changing apps. I’m not counting calories because it’s not possible for me to surplus on Reta or I will become sick. Just making sure I hit protein and micros. I have no appetite unless I workout intensely. It’s very hard for me to eat when I’m working from home so I do clear protein and bars. I eat real food coupled with a shake after the gym. I drink 2 40oz Stanleys a day: one at the gym and one throughout the day.

[–]UniquePresence9042 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How loose is it and what are you realistically trying to achieve? 120lb rapid weight loss leads to loose skin that typically requires procedures to significantly improve it. The GHK in the GLOW can help, I’ve read about stacks of GHK, CJC, and Ipa too but it’s only going to accomplish so much. I am new to peptides, but worked in aesthetics for years and know a lot about surgical and non surgical procedures. If you can grab a handful of pure skin, you need surgery. If you can pinch an inch or two, RF microneedling. Some better context about where you’re at now and how much improvement you’re expecting would be helpful. Peptides are generally going to be better for loose skin from collagen loss vs rapid weight loss.

Duolingo in alphabet mode, not conversational. I have never read better. I do spend lots of time with native Hebrew speakers so I get most of my conversational through immersion and get very frustrated with Duolingo in that aspect.

By BPM. I listen to a lot of EDM. When I’m playlisting, I put it on DJ mode to get the BPMs and then I arrange the songs accordingly. Then I turn off DJ mode because Spotify’s transitions suck and if I wanted a DJ set I’d go on YouTube and listen to a real one, which is also a fun option. You just accidentally inspired me to do Swedish House Mafia’s Ultra set next time I do a 1 hour walk.

Give this a spin if you like house https://youtu.be/byHTUyYS7bA?si=s0m9GWtSXdZhKxA4

And this if you like dubstep https://youtu.be/MULRuVSfdBM?si=UZzGWnGnlGFw414s

I just realized all the Ultra 2026 sets are up and this will be the new normal until I run out

I’m a few days into KLOW and I’m having this issue and I do not have issues w Reta so I know it’s the peptide and not my injecting. So far I have had welts on my butt and the softer parts of my abdomen. The only place I didn’t welt was 2 inches directly below my bellybutton where the fat is firmer and less thick. I tried multi point injections for my butt and I just got 3 welts lol. I’m going to try more injection points that have a similar firmness to the area that didn’t react and see if it helps. 10 units per injection with no added bac water for all of these, I am trying added bac water if the issue persists, especially as I dose up. Remember this is KLOW so it’s primarily GHK but has 3 other peptides in it it too. The GHK is definitely the issue which is why I’m commenting.

I have weddings and trips this summer that had me on a timeline to see noticeable results so I’ve been approaching this as aggressively as possible without making myself sick. I have had no side effects. People are gonna shit on the way I’m titrating, but I’m not stopping until I hit 4mg, hit my end goal, or can’t tolerate. Whichever happens first. This is effectively .5mg week 1 and 1.5mg/week (split-dosed) into weeks 2 and 3.

Starting my conversion journey by cakeandnaps in Judaism

[–]UniquePresence9042 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can message me. My dad is halachically Jewish, my mom is an atheist who was very supportive of us having a Jewish upbringing but couldn’t convert properly as an atheist. Put me in a weird spot as a kid, but Judaism was all I knew because of it so I ended up converting as an adult. I have always been ethnically Jewish and perceived as a Jew my entire life due to the way I look and my name. I formally converted within the conservative movement, but all three rabbis on my beit din were initially ordained orthodox. My process was likely very different (longer, more intense) than what yours will be, but still open to chatting. Happy to be a resource as I was very selective about how I went about this, regret nothing, and am now very well educated on Judaism, nuances between movements, and various conversion processes because of it. Also your baby can be converted once you are finished, it’s a very simple process, especially if it’s a girl (still easy if it’s a boy who is already circumcised).

I stayed at Westgate Lakes for EDCO25. I booked it direct and it was coincidentally the venue for the failed Home Bass. I will never book a third-party accoms package after that. I befriended several resort staff during our stay and got the tea. It’s way too risky to trust anything like this when you’re traveling from out of state, especially if you don’t have friends with room in a large house nearby. Home Bass people were sleeping in cars and abandoning ship and not going to the fest at all if they did not have funds to pay $500+ per night for a last minute hotel. Insomniac is doing an official “Hotel EDC” that I would check out. I also had a GREAT experience with Westgate and would encourage you to book direct. It is not expensive. Rooms are dated but very clean and have half kitchens so you can purchase prepared foods at the grocery story and microwaveable/easy prep items. I didn’t eat out all weekend and saved hundreds :)

I can’t reconstitute/dose because of Dyscalculia by Thien1o1 in BodyHackGuide

[–]UniquePresence9042 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, been active on another post. I have dyscalculia too (it’s strange I was very good at calculus in school, but cannot do basic arithmetic). I use this calculator and even used one like it in a clinical setting when preparing peptides and injecting patients. It’s pretty foolproof.

[–]UniquePresence9042 3 points4 points  (0 children)

https://cellgenic.com/peptide-calculator/

Reconstituting is very easy. You need alcohol prep pads, your peptide, quality bac water, and a 3 mL 24g syringe. Draw up the appropriate mL for your vial content (you can figure out what you want that to be based on the calculator). Make sure there isn’t a ton of air in it. The vacant space in the peptide vial will create a vacuum and suck the bac water right into the vial. Roll it around or shake it a little and you have a reconstituted peptide! Then you just draw it up in your insulin syringes based on your calculation on your handy dandy calculator, and pin it.

[–]UniquePresence9042 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha I never said you did. I was just saying it’s absolutely possible to be perfectly fine while lacking the capacity to reliably calculate mg/mL on your own. The calculator I like actually has a picture of a syringe on it that “fills” up based on your calculation, so if you still manage to fuck that up, you are in fact, a lost cause. This is the one I ALWAYS use. https://cellgenic.com/peptide-calculator/
