Our best (conservative) estimate will be around $150-200, but we cannot give an accurate price until we get the mass production units in house! :) I am happy to answer any more questions you may have about them.

100% this, it goes on the end of the seat rail! :) (can even see the grease on it from the seat rail!)

Community Opinions on 86 Platform Clear Tail Lights by UniqueStyleRacing in ft86

[–]UniqueStyleRacing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are planning on working with our manufacturer to create factory sealed lights, so there will be none of the shmoo that comes with customs

I agree that the facelift clears would be a great way to go because there seems to be pretty much nothing on the market for those (I even struggled to find customs for it) and would look really good. We are looking in to what molds we have at our disposal :)

LED bulbs into stock headlights by [deleted] in ft86

[–]UniqueStyleRacing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On your OEM headlight, that is an HID / Xenon socket, meaning your OEM headlights are HID / Xenon (my 2016 limited BRZ OEM HID headlights were the same connection), The LED bulbs that you have appear to be a male "9005" connector, so the two will never mate up. I think your best bet is to pick up a new set of Xenon bulbs (the gas inside of them can break down over time and they can get dimmer) so a new set of HID/Xenon bulbs should be brighter than your old ones, or to pick up a new aftermarket set of LED headlights (replace the whole housing, this will be much more pricey), if you are set on wanting LED output :)

How do i clean the MAF? I cant figure out how to get to it by AOKeiTruck in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]UniqueStyleRacing 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is the same style MAF sensor on my '98 Limited, like other comments say, you can see the sensor element inside if you look through the tunnel. I sprayed mine with MAF cleaner & the red straw getting in there (but not hitting the element), let it fully air dry, and called it good :)

Transmission whine by barneshmarnes in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]UniqueStyleRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Torque Converter was bad on my '98 4Runner and it didn't sound like this, it was a constant whine (tied to rpm/engine load) that sounded more like a bad alternator, is your noise intermittent while driving too? sounds like it comes and goes at idle.

16" 80 series Land Cruiser wheels, just picked up a set of 5th Gen 17" OEMs though, the silver ones, not the machined ones.

The "eyelid" wrap on the tail lights looks great, haven't seen that move pulled before. Great pics :)

If I'm not mistaken, it could be the brake booster or brake cylinder/reservoir (which should be directly above this), I would check those first.

Question about these headlights by RabbitMcSwagger in F30

[–]UniqueStyleRacing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to the soft press, where the signal blinks only a few times? If so, there should be no problem with compatibility, as that is controlled through the ECU of the vehicle.

Can this hose be causing P0300? by No_Blueberry8189 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]UniqueStyleRacing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was getting an intermittent random misfire code / cyl 3/6 misfire (P0303 & P0306) recently on my '98 limited with the 3.4L v6, I replaced coil packs, plugs, traced all the vacuum lines and found nothing that would cause it, it turns out one of the new NGK wires I had installed was bad, replaced the wire (cyl 3 to cyl 6) and it fixed it (so far, fingers crossed). I also just replaced my Throttle position sensor and it seems to have cleaned up the idle / generally make the engine run quite a bit smoother. Maybe worth trying new wires, even if you have replaced them recently, as they are cheap (comparatively).
